    My Dukan Diary. The success story.

    Well week two of my Dukan diet nearly over. Weight loss to date 9lb pretty impressive for me. Doing a little exercise, as a teacher would say "could do better", will try in week 3 to increase my exercise. Tomorrow is my pv day could anyone tell me if this would be allowed Sirloin steak,cabbage, broccoli and cover with bovril (to trick my mind its gravy) ?

    Well yesterday proved to me that my mind set is in the right place to succeed. After power walking for 2 hours ( I have to start somewhere), hubby wanted to pop in for a pint of beer, my knees knocking with nerves, landlord say "your regular large glass of rose", NO I heard myself say "I'll have a coffee" I've done it, another obstacle overcome. I can go out and have a good time without a drink, more difficult was the smell of the food mmmmm I can still smell it now, but yet again I resisted. Saturday brought more temptation when my sons and there wife /partner popped in, pizza in the oven and drinks all round. How good do I feel today every senario faced and I've won. Weigh-in this morning not a massive drop but .6 is a loss.

    Hahaha I know if anyone asks me what diet I'm on I say the Dunkin diet, its like a mental block to me it will alway be the Dunkin diet. My hubbys "joke" will ware thin he'll say " doo can go on the diet but I'm not" think my hands my be round his kneck next time he slips that one in lol ; -)

    Wish that was the case for me, I'd only have on average a bottle on a Saturday, but felt that after a hard stressfull week it was my treat, but its just changing habbits, its all the "I deserve a treat" that put me to 14 stone from 10 stone in 4 years, looking back I should have done something before now, but its all about being honest with yourself and being in the right place in your mind. I've had an underactive thyroid for 14 years and can't use that as excuse. It was me who put the weight on by the choices I made...... blommin hell that came out like a confession; -()

    Well sid..actualy I think the thyroid situation IS a pretty good reason.it really will make things a bit harder for you for sure..i used to drink alot...as soon as I stopped the wieghts piled on its defo food that makes me fat ,and not drink...but I would HAVE to be different!lmao
    Oh and its so hard to be in the right place in your mind when you are completely obvivious to the fact youve gained weight in the first place!x

    Yes its easy to avoid the mirror, when I put my make-up on I only see above my shoulders and I hav'nt got a fat head. :-0 But you find family and friends don't mention the weight gain, not wanting to upset . But when your loosing its comments about your face drawing in. I want friends and family to be honest after I succeed (notice the possitivity) and if I start gaining say " hey watch it your gaining".

    Well I feel like I've ate too much today, guilty devil wispering in my ear. Think though its because I've had a total change of foods and therefore unsure of myself. So I'll diary all I've ate for the record.

    B - 2 x slices Dukan bread.
    L - grilled sirloin steak, cabbage and broccli covered in bovril ( but seamed to be just left on plate) a muller yogurt.
    D - Dukan creamy fish pie with asparagus.
    Had 2 pints water, 5 coffee's
    Will drink a further 2 pint before bed. No exercise just, ironing and cleaning the oven. Mmmm haven't moved much at all today. This can't happen again.

    Well that's Monday 27.02.12 nearly out and I'm feeling :-( Weight loss low this week, only 1lb.
    todays menu !!!!
    B = yogurt and bran
    L = prawns, cottage cheese,pickled onions and pickled beetroot.
    D = gammon and poached egg
    S = Dukan Bread x 2 slices
    Very busy day at work and neglected water onlt 1ltre and 5 coffees will have 2 pints of water before bed, Also got a short 30 mins walk in. Must try to exersice more Tiredness is no excuse!

    Lol I told my daughter the other day she had put on weight and I know it put her on a downer,but I explained that in a way it would be worse if I didnt say anything & she carried on until she got big and no one had said anything ,atleast she could do something now...shese always been very slim and incredably good looking..i said it because I dont want her to go through what I have over the years,with self worth on the floor and people making comments and treating her badly...its a bloody horrible awful thing..i couldnt care less what size she is and would rather not even make an issue out of it.but shamefully, society does take issue and I dont want her hurt.
    On the other hand there are those people who mention it,because they are downright rude..and THEY have some hang up about other peoples weight,and what they look like..plus they like to put you down in order to elevate their own egos...i dont think ive mentioned this before?lol!!..

    I agree with you, we try to protect our kids from the hurt we have experienced. Sometimes we have to be cruel to be kind, without planting deep seated insercuritys. Its a difficult balancing act. I've known many of these people in the past with there elevated egos, but everyone got issues of one sort or another and the elevated egos are insecure about loosing the position in the pecking order. I believe in looking for the good in people not the outwards apperance. The film shallow Hall has just come to mind.

    Well weighed in his morning Tuesday, I've been advised to get weighed every day on the Dukan Diet. 2lb ON HOW. !!!!
    I've never cheated only thing I can think is the Gammon, could it be because its more salty? Will not eat that again for a week too see if it helps.

    L = cooked ham, cottage cheese, picked onions, tomatoes, cucumber, sf jell
    D = 2 poached eggs, asparagus
    Snacks 4 slices pre-packed turkey
    Again not as much water as I should have. And 30 mins brisk walk.
