Jelliebabe - Dukan? I think I CAN!

Hi Guys

I'm on my fourth day of ATTACK! (sorry have to write it like I'm yelling a command! LOL) I've lost about three stones with a mix of cambridge and slim and save, came off it ate healthily, then not so healthily, then went on holiday put on a stone, came back lost a stone again on VLCD and then I bumped into a friend at the garden centre .....

"WOW" says I "You look good! what plan are you on" - You must understand, my friend and I met and Bonded at a Slimming world class last year where the only thing we lost was money and time. We did however gain a friendship! "the Dukan diet, I've lost two stones in two months!..." and then came the killer statement "AND I get to eat!" (I HAD introduced her to slim and save). She offered me her slim and save products that she hadnt consumed... We parted with a promise to do coffee and a germ of an idea was planted.

That was just over a week ago and dagnamit I need to eat. I have googled Dukan till its falling out of my ears. I have purchased the book (via ebay) and expect it to arrive in a week or so. I took myself to the supermarche on Wednesday and filled it with meat and low fat dairy goodies and have LAUNCHED myself into the ATTACK! phase like the maiden voyage of cruise liner. Just no champagne - not yet anyway!

Anyway - I seem to have lost a few lbs and as of this morning was 15.8 ish (average of three weighs) from a start of 15.11 so all is good.

Right - enough about me, I'm off to make a chicken soup-a-like. Stock, quark and roast chicken (yes I've thrown away the skin) from last night. YUM Looking forward to it :D

Please drop in, comment and cheer me on - I know I'll need it, oh and cross your fingers I dont bump into any more friends at the garden centre! ;)

Jelly good luck. I look forward to reading your journey xxx

Hey Guys - back already - I know!

SOOooooOOooooOOoo after asking a coupla questions yesterday it appears that I may not have been doing ATTACK! 100% to the letter. Still not got the book. They guy on eBay is away for 1/2 term and will post it Saturday. However I don't think I've gone toooo far wrong and have still lost a couple of lbs. AND I have to go away on Thursday night as we have a family funeral on Friday. I will have little to no control over food although will try to stick to protein and shun the potatoes. Its hard when you're staying with folk though isn't it? and no I can't put in a food request they wouldn't understand. I am however staying at my cousins in sort of a self contained annexe so I can control - Breakfast and snacks - Yes I will be hoiking my yogurts, seafood sticks, galettes and turkey bacon with me! LOL :D

So the upshot of this is I think I will restart ATTACK! again when I get home Saturday or Sunday. Which I think will be sensible. I should get the book Mon/Tues hopefully and I know a few of the things to correct now anyway.

Having a MEGA slow day at work today. I think I work with the laziest girl EVER - Don't get me wrong she's lovely - but obsessed with clothes, looks and spending money. She has spent all morning on the phone seeing about getting braces. Purleeeeeeeease she 31! She spent £60 yesterday at the works book sale. She never cooks so why she needs another THREE cookbooks I don't know. This is in addition to the two she bought and never looked at last time.... perhaps one is a Xmas pressie for me! I LOVE cook books and use mine regularly (hence the expanding waistline)

OMG light-bulb moment - I Use my cookbooks and am FAT - she does not and is like a TWIG. COOKBOOKS are the cause of fat then. Eliminate the books and I too can be like a twig.

Anyway I just know she is looking at clothes on the internet - Cant see her screen but she must be, she sure aint working. She just doesn't care and I suppose that's what irks me. That and she has a permanent contract and I on the other hand, boys and girls, do not!

I apologise dear reader its not like me to rant. I'm normally chirpy and sweet with only 10% *****y!

Musta got up on the wrong side of the bed! :D

Anyway Ciao for Now X

Love your posts :) Looking forward to reading your journey. Shout up if you have any questions they are a lovely bunch on here x

Ha ha ha Jelliebabe, that's brightened my day up anyway!!

Welcome to the forum and the diet, we're all here to help and give advice when needed.

That's what I LOVE about this diet too, the fact that you can actually EAT! I did a VLCD a few years ago and to be honest, my losses on Dukan haven't been too far off what they were on that.

Looking forward to reading more of your post. You remind me of a girl I used to work with. She was completely manic but absolutely the loveliest person ever!

Good luck with your Dukan journey.

Lol....cookbooks make you fat.......well that answers all the questions now lol xxx good luck

Well they could be.... LOL.

Anyway another good food day. Had yogurt for brekkie, seafood quiche for lunch and salmon & prawn soup for dins with a Dukan blamange after. Sliced meat and crabsticks for snacks.

Just had row with Mr B. He can be SUCH an ar se sometimes.... not often mind. I have stropped off to bed..... and relegated him to the spare....

I hate rowing... :( so much so that I often will make up or offer an olive branch so that an argument will end. Like if its my mum i'll make tea or summat.... however this time nothing. He's getting nothing out of me. I'm going to be like the Berlin Wall... nothing nothing nothing.

Rude word rude word rude word!

Night all (what was I saying earlier about being all sweetness and light? Oh dear....) x

Hope youve given him are least a duvet lol

All okayish here in the Jellie house today. Mr B came and apologised stressed at work etc.... not sure that's quite the bottom if the issue or this times excuse... but he IS under a lot of pressure at work. I wouldn't mind but he's showing his boss what to do and deflecting crap from HER boss... surely that is why she's the manager?.....

Anyway up earlier today as no galettes were made yesterday due to early scuttle/stomp to bed!

Have a good day ladies x

Ps - scales were kind and say 15.7 today, that's four down since Saturday. Not too shabby eh? X

Doing great jelly xxx

Okay so yesterday was a bit up and down - I had an appointment at the hospital fertility clinic. Still too fat so really need to put my shoulder to the wheel now. They weighed me as 15.4 (98 kilos!) which was a bonus! My scales do weigh heavy though. I need to get down to a BMI of 31/2 before she will prescribe clomifene (helps with ovulation and regulation) and the magic IVF number is 30.

Sooooo onwards and downwards - Keeping to plan at work today and then I'm in the hands of the gods until I get home on Saturday. Of course I will chose wisely while away as far as I can... then will start ATTACK! again (hopefully with the aid of the book should the guy pull his finger out and post it on Saturday!) Then I can be a proper Dukaneer! YAY

HI HO and off we go :D

Come on...get that bmi down....and then they gotta give you the meds as you said......no probs you'll. Do it

The scale monster was v v v mean this morning and told me I wad a fat fatty and deserving of being 15.13 this morning! Hoping its mostly water from the four days off and will slide off this week.

Oh yes back on the bandwagon!

B - yogurts
L - seafood quiche & cottage cheese
D - seabass (not sure how, anyone know what to do with it?)
Snax- seafood sticks, chicken slices and smoked salmon, yogurt

Of course lots of water!

Choir tonight so busy busy busy!

sea bass.if I was cooking it I'd put it in tin foil after seasoning and add a few veg in with it peppers onions on to a baking tray then pop it in the oven 15 mins

Mmmmmm - I'll keep that one up my sleeve for a PV day Sid - it sounds lovely.

I got chilli, a small amount of shallot and garlic and ginger and softened them in fry light, added the sea bass to the pan and a small trickle of soy sauce and quark to make a bit of a sauce, then added prawns and crabsticks - was lush and had a coupla yogs with my (forgotten) oat bran!

Verrrrrrry yummy - will deffo have seabass again - a SUCCESS!!!!

Anyhoo Choir was fab - Just starting on an ELO classic - all over the world. Always leave with a smile on my face and a singing for the next few days (my colleagues must hate it!)

Sorted lunch out before I left though! V organised for me !

B - YOGS
L - seafood quiche and cottage cheese
D - going to make turkey meatballs.... or maybe a meatloaf.... or meatballs.... :) I think I will let inspiration strike! Plus an oatbran gallette - will make a meatball wrap OMG YUM :D
Snax - slices of chicken, smoked salmon - crabsticks and quark - yogs if necessary.

Think I will make something like my seafood quiche so I have something in the fridge to eat for lunches/snax...

Happy Dukanning all X

Hi Clover - you can use anything in the "quiche" but I get a mid sized tub of cottage cheese and 2 whole eggs and mix. Pop in your meat or fish (salmon in mine with some crabsticks) add herbs if you want and pop in a dish - put in the oven for 1/2 hour to 45 mins until its brownish and set, and voila - lunch for two days - V filling! :D Can be tweaked for a PV day if you're on cruise. Or leave it PP and eat it with salad!

What!!!! No half a pound of cheddar?? (Wonders why she got fat!) LOL!

Sounds nice, think I'll have to try that one myself.
