Attack Here I go again...

I was on the Dukan diet between June 2011 and September 2012 when I got married. I lost a load of weight and looked great, but after my wedding I just let loose :sigh:. I put on about a stone during honeymoon and since them I've put on at least another 2 stone.

I found the Dukan diet relatively easy (compared to other diets I have been on) - I love meat (both red and white), fish not so much but I can eat it and I'm not a big fan of veg either - so my PP days were great! I found I quite enjoyed greek yoghurt and found a few ways to get around my sweet cravings (Dukan nutella and meringue cakes saved me a few times). It was also great as if I did fall off the wagon, it didn't seem to matter so much as long as I just went back to the diet.

My down fall now seems to be my motivation...I don't have a wedding to stress out about any more so all my self-control seems to have disappeared :( . I hate feeling so bloated and having absolutely nothing fit me, but I seem to love carbs more. I've tried doing the 'eat stop eat' diet and I lost some weight on that, but again put it right back on during my eat days. I figure if I put my weight journey out there in public it'll shame me into sticking to it lol!

I try and work out 3 times a week, but at the moment the snow has been restricting that. As soon as I'm done writing this though, I'm going to go and scrape the snow off my drive so I can make a class in the morning.

This morning didn't start so great, OH left cake in the fridge :(. But I'm starting now and will post my updates...wish me luck!

Good luck Hun, once you get back into the swing of it & the weight starts coming off your motivation will come back x

Are you all prepared (with food and menus etc)? Your post sounds quite sad, almost as if you're returning to Dukan convinced you'll fail... if you're struggling to get motivated, I always find it useful to draw a line in the sand. Set your start date a couple of days away, and plan for that day's proper start. Baking up some interesting food for your attack, so that you won't be bored (or struggle with other people's leftovers) but you'll also find the mindset to get this diet off properly, lose some weight, which will then stand you in good stead for the harder times ahead when the scales won't necessarily reflect your efforts.

I wish you luck Tee

PS - how about checking out your wedding photos again to see how great you did look. Aim for a reasonable weight initially, perhaps BMI 25, and then see how you feel. Sometimes, if we go too far, it's difficult to stabilise the loss.

Welcome to my world lol...
I lost weight in 2011 around 5 stone go married moved to Australia put 3 stone back on ..... I sooo want to lose the weight and have had a few restarts ....
I have had to give my self the talking to that ...its not going to drop of quickly as i really want it to and its an ongoing long term thing .... however annoying that is !!!!

so back to small goals I set 7lb goals and .......then plod along ...and no its not happening as fast as the first time , but then nothing else works

I have decided that the size 8 to 10 i was back then may not happen either so im setting a more realistic goal for now , who knows when i get there i may push on

good luck
