Hello dukaners, a newbie here, need a lot of motivations and support, am a 38 year old female, mother of two teenagers (so no pregnancies to blame), weight 171lb (12 kg 3 lb), heaviest i have ever been height 5,2 and want to get to 9 st/9 stones 6 pounds (126lb/135 lb). Done 4 days of Attack and hopefully will be starting Cruise Phase tomorrow. Done Atkins and no luck with High fat, infact i gained (must not have been doing it correctly), I do however think i stall when i have too many eggs and dairy, but don't want to get fed up of just protein, So so glad i found a UK Dukan Forumn, been trying to loose weight since 2 years with no luck, hopeful Dukan diet will help me Will hopefully be writing my journal everyday and updating for feedback so all wish me luck.

Good luck. You will enjoy your veggies after four days' attack. We have a daily menu thread so it's a good idea to post your menus (in advance if you can) on the thread if you'd like someone to check them over (diaries are brilliant, but it's hard to keep up with them all, so for instant advice on menus and food, the menu thread is your best bet, or indeed here.

I too have issues if I eat too much dairy, and remember to keep your dairy on Dukan fat free (Total 0% is best).

Good luck

welcome, I'm 53 & can't blame baby fat either, my son is 26 but I've struggled ever since he was born with my weight!!!!!

Welcome Im 50 this year and I put weight on because ???????????????????? I ate too much :D youve come to the right place for help\and motivation. This Diet/lifestle does work. Good luck xxx

Hi I am a similar age to you and can blame my first pregnancy on my weight gain and have suffered since then but that was 21 years ago! I got 'serious' about losing the weight 2 years ago but have only managed it since doing Dukan.

Do not worry about your lapse onwards an upwards move forward and concentrate on not letting it appen again, do you know why you cheated? Maybe that could help avoid or cope with that situation if it happens again?

thanks, i was a little confused of whether to do the attack for 4 days agains as thought that would now count as my pp days and then do pv, and i was thinking of doing 3 days alternative but i will stick try 2 days as i guess it can get too severe. Would 1/1 day not really slow the weight loss down? Since I have started the diet the thing i seem to be struggling with is the 20/30 min walk, I managed to do that only the first 2 days.

Anyway today is my pp day, I was a lot hungry today, although my sugar craving is gone. What i did do in the weekend is make food and kept in the fridge ( i dont mind if its not cooked freshly). This way whenever i feel hungry i have some in hand.

I got a can of diet coke and let the fizz out and heated it (not boiled) and added a tablespoon of gelatin, let it set on a flat plate and once set and hard, cut slices and and put it in a container and fridge so ready and whenever i feel peckish can eat it. (i am sure it is suitable for both pp and pv days)

I also boiled some sugar free diluted juice and did the same but not with gelatin with agar agar.

Now my food intake:

Breakfast:
3 Lamb chops
1 oat bran gallette (i make it with one egg, 2 tbsp oatbarn, 1 tbsp yogurt, chill, salt and pepper)
and 2 mugs of tea
for breakfast

snacks
2 tbsp goji berries

lunch
Tilapia fish marinated and oven baked
Tea

Dinner
4 wings chicken
1 lamp chops
1 mug green tea

desert
1 tablespoon of the carrot pudding (carrot, semi skimmed milk powder, sweetner)
couple of slices of diet coke gelatine i made earlier

I think i need to reflect on my water intake a little more and my walk, apart from that, please advice if i am in the correct path

Morning Msajuma

Great idea about the Diet Coke jelly!

Just a couple of observations from me .... we're not allowed lamb :( and carrot pudding should be for PV days, not PP? Hope this is helpful.

P x

Just keep going! It will get easier and start to make more sense. I have had great support on here (thanks guys!) I'm down from 10st 5.5lbs to 9st 7lbs since Jan 2nd! So you CAN do it :0)

where my post gone, :cry:i posted my whole day diary before my last post ,

When you are a newbie some posts can be automatically moderated as the security software can make mistakes.

Your post is there now and I have moved your diary to Dukan Diary forum.

also chicken wings aren't allowed, or SEMI SKIMMED milk powder (find the skimmed milk powder, and use sparingly!)...

I like your idea with the coke. Is the result like having pieces of jelly?
Is your yoghurt fat free?

If you don't have the book, there's loads of info in the FAQ thread

:)

Hello msajuma
i like the sound of the diet coke jelly thing. Don't worry too much about having the lamb chops, we all make mistakes so draw a line & carry on! I miss having lamb especially in curry. I make up a packet of sugar free jelly crystals & keep that in the fridge for when I just have to have something sweet.
Good luck on your weight loss journey. The girls on here do a great job of advising on what is allowed & pointing out where we've gone slightly wrong on our menus.
