Wow well done guys you've done so well! You'll be shocked how easy this diet is to stick to, believe me. I've never ever stuck to a diet and have had a couple of bad days here and there, but I've lost every week :)

Good luck!xx

Thank you! I am feeling so positive....I can't tell you!

This morning I have lost 1.6kg! So in 3 days on ATTACK I have lost a grand total of 4kg....that's 8.8lbs. I know most of that is water but that will even itself out once I start PV (today!) but even so, its given me the incentive to carry on. S
Seriously, I recently took out an online Slimming World subscription for 12 weeks and I lost 5lbs in the whole 12 weeks and it was up and down every week. Don't get me wrong, I used to love SW and have lost weight on it previously but it just doesn't seem to work for me anymore.
I first tried a low carb diet about 10 years ago and even though I had great success and understood how bad carbs are for you, I always returned to SW because I like the foods you are allowed ie carbs but I know they don't like me, especially as I have got older.

I really don't know why I haven't tried this diet before....I mean, I tried all the others!! I think though that whenever I wanted to cut carbs I always went for Atkins and the like .....oh well, I'm here now!!

Starting CRUISE today.......onwards and downwards as they say!!!

Good luck all :)

Food for today....

coffee, sparkling water and peppermint tea throughout the day

BREAKFAST

LUNCH

pickled onion, gherkin, baby tomatoes
garlic pepper

DINNER
1 boiled egg, trout, cottage cheese
mixed salad
yogurt and mustard dressing
gherkin

Thank you!
I obviously retain a lot of water even though I don't feel bloated. I always drink water daily, have done for years, so its not the introduction of that.
Nevertheless, I do feel better for it, not just in body but in mind too. Recently while having another 'go' at SW, I tried so hard and nothing was happening .... It's makes you very despondent.
This is is the opposite, not much effort and great rewards.

The only niggling doubt in the back of my mind is Christmas. I definitely won't go mad but it's going to be hard to stick to completely. I so wish I'd started earlier on in the year when I first looked into it :(

I felt the difference very quickly too, I was tested for coeliacs but found I didn't have it, however after totally cutting out all that food I quickly found I wasn't in pain any more, and felt more energetic too ha!

Christmas is tough - I think the trick is to just be careful, and try not to write a whole day off if you happen to have a naughty meal. I had my birthday after 3 weeks so had a naughty day, then a wedding a week later so had a naughty weekend. But as long as you hop back on it generally you'll be ok - I find that if I have a bad couple of days, I do 2 or 3 pp days to counteract them xxx

One thing I have noticed, which I've never had on low carb diets before is when I wake in the morning, I feel dreadful. I just lay in bed and seem to have no energy and feel almost ill. I have to make myself get up but as soon as I am upright, I feel fine!!! I'm wondering if its like a low blood pressure type thing from laying down?
I never suffer with carb withdrawal and in the past, almost as soon as I stop eating carbs, I feel so much better. You hear such horror stories of how some people suffer but I've never had that.
Just this morning thing.
Anyone else had this?
Other than that, I have a real spring in my step!!!!

I am like that too - don't feel ill but can't get out of bed when usually I'm up at my first alarm! Not sure what it is!! Xx

Funnily enough, the last couple of days I have been ok.......so maybe it was something else? Or maybe it was an adjustment to the diet...odd!

Anyway, this time last week, I started Dukan and so I have just had my official weigh in......4.4kg off this week including 3 days attack :)
It was slightly more yesterday morning but yesterday went a bit wrong(!) ;) and I know I didn't drink enough water too. Still back to it today....no looking back.
Bring it on week 2.......

Well the weekend was a bit of a write off!
Let's just say alcohol was involved :( Didn't stray with the food though which is pretty amazing after having a tipple !

So back to it today. Came home from work, tired and hungry and was really tempted to eat something nice. Kept thinking on the way home what I was going to eat! I don't really eat unhealthily and so it wouldn't have been really bad but it just wouldn't have been Dukan. Anyway, scoffed a cooked chicken breast when I got in and it seemed to do the trick. Talked myself into completing the PP day, seeing as though the day is nearly over and now I'm looking forward to a PV day tomorrow.
Just shows you, we have to take it minute by minute.......

1st cruise weigh in next Saturday........
