Starting Dukan again 2 years later

Hi everyone,
I lost weight (a stone) about 2 years ago in time for my wedding but of course on the honeymoon the diet went out the window and the weight has slowly crept on again.

I restarted dukan a few weeks ago and lost 4lbs in the first week and a half. Then my scale broke and I got super busy and fell off the wagon a bit... For 3 days in that next week I was eating the wrong foods but got my act together and have been good again since then! In my defence I was making cakes and treats for my twin godsons' first birthday party then had to attend the party where there wasn't a single dukan friendly food item... Will avoid that type of situation in the future!

So as a result my weight loss isn't looking too impressive and this week I have pretty much plateaued, however I have been going to the gym and my body is feeling stronger so I'm not going to take it to heart and hope the scales change soon.

I'm on a PP day today so had an oat bran porridge breakfast, chicken and onion frittata for lunch and grilled chicken for dinner. I also might have about 5/6 crab sticks during the day and loads of water.

I hope this forum will keep me motivated as I really want to get to my goal weight!!

Thank for reading my rambles!

welcome newdukandieter!

How is it going?

Looking forward to following you on your journey xx

Thanks bonkers! You look like you have done brilliantly with your weight loss. Not far to go until you are at goal weight! How have you found doing Dukan? I'm generally fine but if there is a social occasion that's when I struggle!

Thanks!

I am actually moving onto Conso next week whether I get to Dukan TW or not. So looking forward to that!

The journey was easyish. The all you can eat is what I love about this plan. Stick to the meat with no sauces or green leafy veggies and you will be fine :).

You will get there in no time!

Hello and welcome back.. you might find Conso is a better option for you too as you don't have that much to lose. It'll make stabilising the loss so much easier too.

Good luck!

And, Bonkers, very exciting news from you too...

Thanks for the advise. I don't have loads to lose but I find it doesn't come off that easy. I'm going to try and stay in cruise as much as I can but not doing to beat myself up if there are little slips as long as I try to correct them. Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for lunch on a PP day but luckily I have found a cafe which has omlettes on the menu so going to have that. Got a family meal on Saturday night so I don't want to be rude and insist on what I want to be served so going to try as hard as I can to avoid the carbs. I'm also not trying not to publicise my diet to ppl as you always get them putting in their opinion when you cut out carbs, will have to see how I go! My husband and mum are being really supportive though which is a great help.

Today was a PV day and I had oatbran porridge, one chicken thigh, mixed veg cauli 'rice', then out for dinner today but I have checked out the menu and there are a few options I can have so I'm prepared! Also done a run today and have line dancing tonight (first lesson).

Have done two PP days in a row to prepare for today as we are round at family's for dinner. I'm going to be drinking but taking gin and slimline with me so I can reduce the damage. Like I said I will avoid the carbs as much as I can... Fingers crossed it's not pasta tonight!!

Scales gone down again to 138.8 which is great and will keep me motivates today to be as strict as I can be.

How are you doing ndd?

I've been away for a few days (busy busy at work) and just catching up.
