I'm back! Sara's Dukan diary take 2

So I started Dukan in February 2012, weighing in at 13st 9lb, and reached the True Weight Dr Dukan's website set me of 10st 5lb by August of that year. Never had a diet proved more successful for me. I carried on losing and stabilised at around 9st 5lb though at my lightest I weighed in at 9st 1lb. I felt fabulous about my body and didn't find the food-restricting too hard at all - like my friend Scooter I ate bread, cheese and fruit every day but didn't do the gala and starchy meals. I honestly thought I could happily eat like that forever. But on holiday over Christmas 2013 I started taking liberties and ever since then the boundaries have been stretched until my diet bore no relation to Dukan any more. My weight slowly increased until I decided the time had come for me to get a grip again. I was not back at my pre-Dukan weight, nowhere near - I weighed 10st 6lb 5 days ago. This is the end of my 5th and last day of attack so I'll update you tomorrow on the outcome.

Thanks for reading me.

Sara

Sara!! Welcome back!!! - it's great to have you on here again!!! It's like a reunion everyone is coming back to the fold :). It's been so quiet on here but we can change that lol - well done on getting through attack now for some cruising!!!! Keep posting and we'll soon have you back to target - it's great to hear from you xxxx big hugs xx :)

Hooray! Sara's back in da house! :)

Well done for taking control before you head too far in the wrong direction. Not much to lose and I'm sure you'll do it in no time! Crossing fingers for a good result after your 5 days on attack.

And looking forward to reading you properly again. I'm in the same diary as before but wondering if it's better to start a new one? I kinda like seeing the full history, but anyone dropping by wouldn't know where to start!

So my 5 days of Attack brought about a loss of 6 lbs! Very happy (and surprised) about that. I weighed in at 10 stone today. I had salad with my beef and eggs at lunchtime and am having ratatouille with my chicken for dinner. It feels very naughty and I'm sure the scales will bob up again for a week or so, but I feel back in the zone for the time being, not hung up about it, so hopefully I can Cruise for a few weeks and lose a little more.

Thanks for your lovely welcome back, Scoot! xxx

Dukanista, I started a new diary because my old one contained lots of very personal stuff and I had had it moved to the Gold members area. I intend this one to be all about food (or the lack of it!), and hopefully exercise too! Lots of love xx

Hi Sara,

Yes, I remember a bunch of people moving to the members only area. Better to focus on the food :)

Fab loss, what's your tw? I will have to get my head around pounds and stone soon...

Well done Sara - amazing!! :) great to have you back on here xx I've been roasting some veg for a change - instead of boiling the life out of it like I usually do lol - roasted peppers, mushrooms, courgettes, butternut squash - lush xx :) served with a big juicy steak and two dry fried eggs!!!

Yummmmm, roasted veg, my favorite! I'm hungry (and I just had breakfast!)

Caro, in theory my tw is 9st 5lb because I felt slim then - I had a wrinkly tummy instead of a cellulite-y one like I do now! But with the school holidays coming up in about 3 weeks I don't suppose I'll get there, I don't like eating like a nutter in front of the kids! Being consistently the right side of 10st again would be something, losing more would be a bonus.

Roast veg are lovely, you know even broccoli and cauliflower roast well provided you use some olive oil. Just had some pickled cucumber with my cold beef and chicken for lunch, is that allowed on a pp day? I didn't do it during Attack.

Went to my 8-year-old's school sports day this morning, I love sports day. Kept me out of the gym for yet another day though :-(

Wow roasted broccoli and cauliflower - now there's a thought!!' Might have to try that!! :) broccoli is my fav veg!!!

Yes, it's hard to follow dukan with other people around, although I'm sure the kids are used to it?

I've got a stream of guests staying for the whole month, starting Saturday, but to be honest I think the fasting is quite easy to fit in around a social life. I'm still working most of the month and I just need to try and make sure I don't eat dinner too late, and then I can fast at the office the next day, come back home and have dinner. Or something - I'm sure it will work out :)

I'm sure you'll get your skinny tummy back in no time, Sara. What are you doing at the gym these days?

Nice to see you on here Sara - what a great start you have made - keep going lovely lady! x

Hi Trudy, glad you're still on here too! xxx

Caro, I was doing 30 mins low-level cardio (bike one day, fast walking on the treadmill the next), 5 times a week plus a few weights 3 times a week. However, since damaging my shoulder in a skiing fall at Christmas I haven't been able to do the arm exercises. I go to pilates on Saturdays when I can, but even that's fallen by the wayside these last few weekss - so busy with end-of-term things, concerts and cricket matches!

PV today, v happy about that! Have a good one, everyone xxx

Hope you enjoyed pv, Sara. I remember you saying a while back that you couldn't face protein Thursdays anymore: I think you're back in the swing of things now, though'

What's your weigh in day for the week?

Cx

Yep, for some reason I'm right back on it, just like this time 2 years ago. Weird how sometimes we can and sometimes we can't. WI is going to be on Mondays because that's when I started Cruise. I think I'm a pound or so up at the moment but I know that's to be expected the first week after Attack. I'm not panicking because I really feel I can stick with this for a few weeks. Wait till some social event trips me up though! x

Great to read you Sara xxx

Well done Sara! Not surprising at all in week 2, so good work!
