Attack Dukan! Round 2

Hi my names Tuula I'm 27 and about to start Dukan for the second time tomorrow. I started this diet 2 years ago and lost 2 stone in 3 months. It became very easy for me to stick to, I was working my 9-5, coming home and had plenty of time to plan my meals. This time around I'm a stay at home mum to an active 1 year old so I hope I can be organised and succeed again! Just stopped breast feeding my daughter so I can focus on getting my body back and stop eating those extra calories!! Would like to lose 2-3 stone and just feel better about myself. Any help/advice would be great, mostly here for motivation and support as I'm very weak when it comes to food! Especially carbs! X
 
Congrats on your daughter and welcome back.I think there's a lot of 2nd timers so you'll have lots of support and together we can do it!

its funny but being a slimming world girl many years ago I found the more weeks into it I got, the less easy I found it, but dukan is the only diet that the longer I do it for the easier it becomes....don't ask me why, but I seriously don't crave much at all.....but when I'm on any other diet that you are allowed treats in moderation I crave more & more....weird?!!!

I really does get easier the longer you do it! I remember when I fell pregnant and I struggled to eat carbs and fat again! Still didn't take me long to slip back into eating naughty again! Haha

Woke up and weighed myself for the first time in ages!!! 13 stone 2! Not as heavy as I thought but the pictures I just took make me feel sick.
I find taking photos before and every week really help me see how my body changes. Also need to take my measurements.
Made my daughter her toast this morning and resisted eating the crusts and licking the butter off my fingers! Woo hoo! Lol that is normally my breakfast then I just snack badness all day pretty much!
Oatbran porridge this morning with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a black coffee to wake me up! Feeling determined today! X

So first day almost over and I'm feeling good! Currently tucking into my sugar free jelly and fat free yoghurt! Although I haven't eaten a lot of these foods in almost 2 years they don't taste bad to me like they did 2 years ago! I actually enjoyed my oatbran porridge this morning!
Today I had the following
Oatbran porridge with cinnamon
Black coffee
2 boiled eggs, 2 chicken thighs (skin off) fat free cottage cheese
Pan fried salmon marinated in lemon juice, light soy sauce and a tiny bit of Chinese five spice!
Jelly + yoghurt
1.5l water

The salmon was sooo yummy! Crispy top! My husband would say burnt but he still ate it! Even made him potato wedges and I didn't eat any! One of my many temptations from today! Hardest was holding a malted milk biscuit in my mouth for my daughter as I had no hands free!!

Ha ha ha ha.....that is hysterical about holding malted milk in the mouth!!!! I cooked the kids penne pasta for tea and had to bite it to see if it was cooked, which it was, so then I had to spit it out immediately!!! The tortuous things we do for our kids/partners!!!

I know!! I was salivating! Not a pretty sight! Well done for spitting out the pasta! That's pure dedication.
It is tough with the children because temptation is everywhere! Can't have a carb free cupboard! Problem I have is my daughter is going through the feed everyone her food stage! A bit for her then bit for me! Torture! Lol xx

Hi Ann - thank you! How are you finding it second time around?
I think it's easier now for me.I remember the first time around, my first day on the diet was awful and all I wanted was a carb feast!

Ok so day two and I have a banging headache! Had so much water so think an early night is on the cards tonight!
Food today...

Oatbran porridge
Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
Chicken thigh and cottage cheese
Steak and onions
Jelly and fat free Greek yoghurt
Loads of water

I'm hungry today so think I should be snacking more...need to prepare some snack but don't know what. Every time I open the fridge I just see raw meat!

My motivation today was waking up and noticing my tummy is no where near as bloated as it usually is and that's just after one day. Looking forward to the day when I don't miss bread! Right now I could demolish a loaf!

Morning!

I just weighed myself and I'm a little surprised to have lost 4lb in 2 days! Obviously I'm really happy with that but also a little concerned as I only planned to lose 4.5 lbs in attack lasting 6 days.
Perhaps I'm not eating enough...
Has this happened to anyone else? Xx

Brilliant work!!! I think you're eating fine.... If it helps i did 3 day attack and lost 3.3lbs in one day, then 5.4 in 3 days..
