    Shelly Belly's Cruise Control - Last Push to Consol :)

    Okay my lovelies! Fresh Motivation, Fresh Challenge.

    This is where I failed last time. In fact, this is where most people fail. But not this time. I need this diary to keep me accountable - it helped so much through my 20 weeks of Attack/Cruise, and now I have 140 days ahead of me, including a trans-continental relocation to the Ivory Coast and CHRISTMAS!!! So I am gonna need all the help I can get to keep me on the straight and narrow.

    So Here it goes. This is Day 1/140

    Breakfast: Oatbran galette and a boiled egg
    Snack: SF Jelly
    Lunch: Turkey breast & boiled egg salad with balsamic vinegar
    Dinner: 2 Slices of wholemeal toast with tomato puree, parmesan and turkey sausages on top (bit like a baby, healthy pizza). An apple.

    Drinks: Tea, Diet coke, Diet Lemonade, water etc

    The plan is PP on Thursdays. Carbs on Fridays (as I usually run Saturday Morning) and Celebration meal over the weekend (probably Saturday nights)

    Otherwise, I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed that apple last night - yumba rumba!
    And the bread really made me full after dinner - smiles all round

    Food Yesterday was great:

    Breakfast: Oatbran galette, boiled egg, tomato

    Lunch: Yassa Chicken (Senegalese, basically chicken in onions and vinegar), veggies (cougette + cabbage), small side salad
    Dinner: Onion soup, 2 Slices of wholemeal toast with tomato puree, parmesan and turkey sausages on top. An apple. Jelly and 0% yogurt

    This morning I ran 10km and was a bit disappointed to not beat my time from last week as I hoped the bread might help - but it was pretty warm this morning.

    Today's Food plan (seems like lots of eggs and tomatoes!)

    Breakfast: 2 slices of wholemeal bread, 2 eggs, 2 plums
    Lunch: Ojja merguez (Tunisian, tomato and pepper soup with poached eggs and beef merguez sausages)
    Dinner: Onion soup, Chicken breast baked in tomatoes & veggies. Yogurt and Jelly.

    YUM!

    Gonna go cold turkey on the diet coke today - fingers crossed x

    Hey Guys,

    Things have been a bit rough. Consolidation is hard. I forgot how hard it is. All the choice means loads more "food decisions" everyday. The increase carbs in your diet from the bread also increases your cravings. I've had a rotten week. Work has been busy, I've been a bit stressed about the boyfriend coming this weekend and a pool party (erg... for reals?) we're invited to, plus I've been at the docs and the gyno, trying to figure out what's up.

    From the struggle to lose weight and the lack of visits from AF, I had got to a point where I had convinced myself that I has PCOS. This got me stressing about my diet - maybe I shouldn't be eating dairy? maybe I shouldn't be eating any carbs?.. just started stressing about all the food choices. I had an ultrasound last night - no cysts. I am an idiot.

    So I fell off the wagon I ate a chocolate mouse and a packet of chocolate biscuits). I felt scared and out of control like I always used to. It felt horrible, like I not only fell off the wagon, but I had hit my head on a rock during the fall and had been left for dead on the roadside This is not what I wanted.

    Anyways, I'm happy to report, I'm back to it now. Feeling much better. Had a good hunk of roast chicken for lunch and some 0% yogurt and a Coke Zero (because when you feel cruddy, you need friends around).

    This whole episode has made me realise that I really do want to lose more weight. I have the BF here this weekend, which I'll PV for, then, on Tuesday, I'll do another attack and go back to cruise. I think it was too soon for consolidation, I feel like I've cheated myself out of an almighty victory. I really do want to get to 10st, and I believe that perseverance will get me there.

    I'm sorry if this is all a bit rambly and crazy - it's been that kind of week.

    I hope everyone has a lovely weekend - I really need a Gin and Tonic Zero-calorie non-alcoholic soft drink!!

    I think a lot of us think that consolidation is going to be a breeze after attack and cruise so I'm thankful for your perspective and bringing some reality into it. xxx

Glad you've been in a positive mindset today good decision going back to cruise....you've worked so hard & if 10 stone is what you want go for it...you know you can do it cos you've got to 9 stone previously :0 so it's not as if you're trying to get to an unattainable weight...and it's fab you've got a plan for the boyf coming well done !!!

    Hey guys,

    I dunno what was with my mood last week - but it all came a bit unstuck.

    Just had a speculoso weekend with the bf! And the pool party - seriously... I dunno what's wrong with me - I think I am still alot bigger than I am. Some oik was there taking photos, and they put them on facebook... I saw one today and I was like "are THOSE my legs??" "Are THOSE MY SKINNY LEGS!?!?"

    So yes. 10stone, I want it, I'm coming for it. Annoyingly I lent my scales to my friend who is leaving so that he can weigh his suitcases, so I can't get a measure for you today. Weekend was indulgent, but not crazy. There was a 16km training run... and some ice cream... oops!

    But I am recommitted and ready to roll. Planning on doing 4 days of PP (Started today), and then heading on back to cruise.

    I need to find a way of changing this thread title, you'll have to leave it with me.

    In the meantime, here's a bit of inspiration for you all - 28lbs down

    Wow Shelly... I can't believe I missed this thread and am sorry not to have been around!!
    Firstly CONGRATULATIONS on reaching your target weight and having made the decision to go to Consolidation! And I'm sorry it was such a nightmare but you wrote it down in such an eloquent fashion that it has certainly reminded me of the difficulties I had when there.
    What I don't quite understand though is why anyone who looks so good in a bikini is wanting to go back onto PPs and PVs and I for one would dare suggest that you do no such thing. It's a recipe for yoyoing and take a look at that fabulous photo of yourself in the pool again please!!

    OK now for your Conso menus. While I could never figure Conso out myself, I all seems so easy when I look at other people's menus! sorry about that!! BUT... you knew it was coming... for some reason you opened the floodgates completely, gave yourself far too much unnecessary choices and made it all very complicated!!

    What is wrong with doing your usual PV menu and adding in your small bread allowance (2 x small slices) + cheese allowance + fruit?

    I thought your Thurs PP followed by carb Friday and gala Saturday a good idea (although perhaps not a gala for a couple of weeks if you decide to have another go now...). Perhaps also the health worries got you more in a fizz than you needed to be about this very simple "addition" of a couple of things rather than starting a totally new diet!

    I hope to give you food for thought... and support you all the way whichever way you decide to go... but I wanted to remind you why so many of us did fail at Conso, and then returned to PP/PV, and then bingeing, and then PP/PV, and then bingeing... :-))

    I'm intrigued as to your plans to move to the Ivory Coast...
