Consolidation nightmare................HELP!!

Hi Everyone, not sure if anyone else has experienced a similar problem?
I was on consolidation from Nov 11 until Feb 12, however, somewhere after Xmas, I lost the plot and subsequently the weight has crept back up - having said that, it's not drastic, 10lb from my 'true weight'. Although I wasn't sticking to the plan correctly, my diet still mainly consists of protein, but I have just been a bit lapse at weekends when carbs get involved. Despite trying very hard on two seperate occasions, whereby I went back onto the attack phase for 5 days, the 1st time I lost nothing and the 2nd (last week) I lost just 1lb. I am totally stuck and confused as I don't know where to start now and couldn't see anything in the book (my bible), it only refers to a couple of pounds going on and that would be quickly sorted by doing PP for a couple of days. Not so in my case! I really am annoyed with myself for having done so well (35lbs) and now letting it all slide away........has anyone had a similar experience and if so, what did you do to rectify? I have already identified I maybe eating too much yogurt, Onken, fat free but I have now noticed that it contains sugar grrrrrr and it is a mammoth pot, so I need to address that. Any other advice you could offer as to where I should start? Cruise again, or back onto consolidation, although that doesn't make sense if I'm not at my target weight........I really am confused.com, any suggestions greatfully received. Many thanks :sigh:

Definitely address the onken and any other "wee extras" ie make sure it's pure protein not with sauces and extras etc.

As you seem to be immune to attack how about just cruise with extra care that nothing has slipped in?

Well done for addressing this now not 25more lb down the line!

Right, let's approach this calmly and you will get there! (I have... am... do as I say not as I do...)

Back to basics. Re-read the lists for Cruise. Cut out all extras, lose the Onken or activias, the fruit yoghurt, the extra fruit, the extra carbs at the weekend. You need to be strict again.

But first of all, don't bother with attack, it will never work again the way it did (as you found) and puts you though necessary stress. If you feel you have to, do 2 or 3PPs in a row maximum before doing a spell on cruise. That's what you're supposed to do when you have more than 2kg to get off again. Go back to cruise. I did after Christmas and it worked but it was much slower and it was hard to keep up, I must admit!
The other option I fall back to all the time is to go back to what I call strict Conso. Conso rules striclty followed to the letter, no extras, care with the tolerateds, I even drop the gala meals and the carb meal or only use them for socialising, but keep the 60gr bread, one fruit and 40gr cheese. And of course it allows you Veg every day but one which is nicer on your digestive system. That works/ed for me, but slowly. Last week I managed about 1kg in 10-12 days, but at the moment I have so many social occasions to stop proper losses. So I Conso as much as I can, that keeps me steady with minor losses if I'm lucky.

Mentally it's hard to go back after you've relaxed into Stabilization. Tonight I have just come home from a lengthy committee meeting so I did have a glass of wine and two pieces of cake... And a biscuit when I got home. After a day of being 'good'. Tomorrow I need to do my PP that I deferred from today because of said meeting. Next weekend is a killer, DD1's birthday party and I do a lot of baking plus my parents visit. Always excuses but I do find them much harder to resists these days. When I had just started on cruise I organised DD1's birthday party, made a super chocolate cake and didn't even lick my fingers! So now it's a bonus if I just manage to stay the same.

Good luck, but you can't expect fast results any more - I think that is the main message.

I think its always hard to get your head back in the game after having had a break or put weight back on. I think what has been said is worth doing, strict cruise and be patient too. It may take longer, but you know it works.

Good luck x
