Gelatin

Hi can anyone help with this question.

Are we allowed to use Gelatin? I am sure I have already read we can because a lot of recipes use Agar which is an alternative of Gelatin.

So if we can, is it a tolerated item, or is it an allowed item.

I really want to use this but am really getting screwed up about tolerated at the moment :)

I have recipes in my book which say to use gelatin, and some of those are for attack, so guessing it's allowed.

Actually just had a look through and any tolerated items are marked as such, but gelatin isn't marked, so have as much as you like!!

thanks carole. I have looked on a google search, found a few forums and recipes informatoin places and none of them had it listed in the tolerated lists, so i did figure it would be ok. Shall be making vanilla cream again later then LOL.
 
Well I am more convinced that i am ok with gelatine or agar agar. I am looking thru the book and can't find anything, but I did find it on a condiments list on another site.

But I found this site that talks about recipes etc., halfway down this page she talks about a Dukan patisserie book, and has put a picture of a recipe on the site, if you click the picture you can see it mentions agar agar in it. So phew, I can make my creamy pudding.
