dukan diet beginner

Hi... I have battled weight for six years now. I was 24 stone and have over time through various diets got down to 14.10 :)
I've started this diet and am disappointed to say I haven't lost any weight in the attack faze :-( I am now going into the next faze but am I doing something wrong? Please someone shine some light onto this...

Hi Kara

Firstly, well done on getting down from 24 stone!! Amazing!!

Can you give us an idea of what a daily menu has looked like on Attack? And how long did you do it for? The experts on here can probably tell you what's happened.

Also, have you come directly from another diet onto this? Because that can affect weightloss also.

Don't lose heart, I'm sure if you stick at it, the weightloss will kick in.

Hi Kara

Just had to google Ashy Bines as I've never heard of it!! It looks like it's very similar to Dukan in that it seems to be high protein and low carb (correct me if I'm wrong!)

So going from one to the other, your body hasn't had the 'shock' of switching, which gives us the boost of loosing a lot in the first week.

I can only say, keep at it, and make sure you're eating enough. I know that sounds daft, when you probably don't want to eat much as you have GAINED weight this week, but make sure you're not hungry. You haven't posted amounts, but your menus don't look very much to me.

Some of the other girls will post more helpful advice I'm sure, there are some real experts on here, and please don't be disheartened. A quick look at some other posts will show you that this plan DOES work, and this site gives really good advice.

Best of luck x

I assume you are eating oatbran? possibly as part of your porridge? You havent got very much dairy on there either. I've never heard of Ashey Bines either but think Carole is right if its a similar diet. Perhaps you should complete a food diary with amounts and menus? Possibly youre not actually eating enough?

Ok thanks ladies, I'm eating... I promise, I love food. Ashy bines is similar but you have protein shakes etc and I like real food so, thought I'd give this a go.

Good luck kara . You've done fantastic already as the girls have said stick with it and keep posting xxx

Good luck. And make sure you eat enough as the girls have said!! X

All everybody has said. I would just add, assuming you listed everything you had, you need to up your fluids! 1l is not enough if you are not drinking anything else. There is no fluid on Wednesday at all. Fluids play an important part as you need to flush the system. I am a culprit with water as I dont like it but I try to have 1.5l water plus 3 cups coffee and 2 teas plus a 500ml diet coke sometimes.
Your food looks ok and I am assuming you know the rest of the rules no cooking oil, sugar etc etc.
Good luck and stick with it, it will work. :)

Its all been said, and I can only agree with it all. Oatbran is a MUST. Porridge, Muffins or bread with it. Some people justy sprinkle it on the yogurt. Fluids...Soooo important.
Eat until you are full, don't scrimp on your portions.

One of the reasons the dukan site asks if you have done diets before is they factor this into how likely you will lose the weight, if you have changed from one diet to the next then your week would be no different than donig two weeks on the same diet. Stick with it, this really does work.

As for losing 10 stone, Oh My God. Wow thats amazing.
