    2nd time lucky??!

    Hi Everyone

Have spent the last hour or so reading posts and diaries on this forum and have decided that tomorrow is the day I return to Dukan! I have however been saying this for the last 3 weeks to myelf and everyday I have given in by 12 p.m. and utter the infamous words 'I'll start tomorrow' Its really getting me down to be honest as I am feeling like a total failure, I can't even start the diet never mind stick to it!! I have done Dukan before, about 18 months ago, and found it easy and it was a great success, lost 18lbs in 2 months, unfortunatley I went on holidays and the weight just piled back on, and I've been self destructing on and off ever since!!! So I know I can do it, its just to get into the frame of mind to actually start it! My job can be a demon too as I work on the production line in a well known chocolate factory and there is always so much temptation on offer, again the last 3 weeks have been a nightmare in that regard too!!!
Anyway I won't ramble on for too much longer, have a couple of questions for ye knowledgable posters:

Has anybody done the Dukan diet more than once, if so was your weight loss much slower the 2nd time?

How do you get yourself into the 'Dukan Zone' and out of the 'Start Tomorrow' zone?

What form of exercise do ye take? I am a member of the gym but am wondering if I should cancel membership and think about Jillian Michales 30 Day Shred instead?

Thanks for reading and loooking forward to some advice

    Hiya ICDT

I'm back for the second time - day 9 for me today and I've lost 8.5lbs so far. So, no, the weightloss doesn't slow down - hurrah!

I feel amazing, I'm 100% focused and it's so very good to be back.

I've got a gym membership too but I suffer from a severe medical condition called 'lazy bones'. However, the euphoria of being back in control and losing weight, made me *choose* to go to the gym yesterday and I kicked off 'Couch to 5k'. This is so unlike me!!

Come on girlfriend, jump in the water's great

Get back on the plan today and stick with it - your post on this thread shows that being out of control is making you very unhappy so maybe that is incentive enough to get past the 12 noon cut off!!! I used to say I would start tomorrow just like you, or on a Monday or when the sun was behind the moon etc etc and eventually I started Dukan on a Saturday when I was at a horse show and it was the toughest time to do it but boy I felt such a sense of achievement when I did - go for it - second time will be just as amazing as the first...... Well done for coming back to the fold! x

Glad you are on your way! One of the things I find helpful when my motivation is low is to have a list of the reasons why I want to lose the weight. The real, nasty reasons that I probbaly wouldn't share with other people! When I am tempted to go off plan I dig it out and have a look.
Reached goal of 130 lbs to lose.

On maintenance I'm a little higher than I would like to be...
