Hi ive been looking on here for a muffin recipe but they are all differentso not sure which one to use does anyone have a recipe for muffins and also dukan bread thanks![]()
D as Dukan bread with the help breadmaker Prepartion: 5 minutes - Cooking time: 60 minutes Serves: 4 People - Phase: Attack Ingredients 4 tbs of oat bran 2 tbs of wheat bran 2 eggs or 1 egg white 2 tbs of 0% cheese 1 package dried yeast 60g of fromage frais salt Knead with a whisk to mix ingredients Place in bread machine and set the program to fast cooking (about 1 hour).
M as Muffins Preparation Time: 10 minutes - Cooking Time : 60 Minutes Refrigeration Time : 2 hours Serves : 4 People - Phase : Attack Ingredients: 2 Egg whites 4 tbsp of 0% Fat fromage frais 2 tbsp of Cornflour 3 tbsp of Sweetener 1 tsp of Wheat bran 3 tsp of Oat bran A drop of Strawberry flavouring 1 tsp of Baking powder Preheat the oven to 150°C (Fan Assisted oven) / Gas 2 / 300°F. In a clean bowl, using an electric beater, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form and the tips stand up and curl under. Add the Splenda, Fromage Frais, Cornflour, Bran & flavouring. Bake for 1 hr. Remove from the oven, let cool then transfer to the refrigerator and allow to chill for 2 hrs before serving.

Gosh you don't need to put cornflour in muffins... (and, as it's a tolerated ingredient, it's not OK for attack anyway.) These recipes are on the UK official site? (grrr) Hang on - I'll find a link to the recipe I've always used. Wheatbran is now a tolerated but for us oldtimers it wasn't (but we weren't allowed many things you now are so horses for courses!)
OK - in the recipe section, there's a link to recipes and the muffin recipe is at the bottom of page 1...
http://www.minimins.com/dukan-recipe...pe-thread.html (Dukan Recipe Thread)
There's also loads of info (on original version of diet) in our FAQ section...
Unfortunately commercialisation of this diet, in UK, US etc, has meant there are too many changes for us oldtimers to hope to keep up with, so best I don't try to help any newcomers!

i make the bread using 4tbsp oat bran, 2 eggs, 1tsp baking powder & 3 tbs of either quark or yoghurt. Whisk it all together in aa bowl then put into a silicone loaf tin. Cook in the microwave for 4-4& a half minutes. Cool on a wire rack. This makes enough for 2 days on cruise. You can add wheat bran if you want. I saw this recipe somewhere on here & now use it all the time.
It is really nice toasted. I have it most mornings with a dry fried egg & make it into a sandwich.

To make 2 days worth of muffins
4tblsp oatbran
2 eggs
1.5 tbslp sweetner
1.5 tsp baking powder
3tblsp no fat yogurt ( the original recipe said 2tblsp quark 1 tblsp yogurt)
Vanilla essence if you like
i also have used mixed spice and cocoa on cruise
Mix together pour into silicone cup cake moulds (8) and microwave in my microwave it is about 3min 30 sec for the best result. I used a recipe from here and just tinkered a bit to find the best result with my microwave which meant doubling the recipe for 2 days worth and reducing the cooking time a little.
Week 1: -8.2lb(3 day attack)

I make the same as China but half for one portion - I use a chinese takeaway carton (the plastic kind) and microwave it in this. Its the perfect size to split in two for a sandwich! MMMMMMmmmmMMMmmmm Lubbly jubbly !!!
They say the camera adds 10lbs - Just how many cameras do I have on me?

how long willl muffins last in a container? x

I cook two batches at a time (four days worth) and keep them in the fridge and they last fine

I freeze mine and defrost them when I need them. Don't take too long to defrost. If need be keep in the fridge for a few days.
