    Is Chewing Gum a Sweet??

    In our house for the last few years, we have given up something for lent. For the last two years for me its been crisps, and sweets for my daughter. Yesterday she asked me what I was giving up for lent this year and i couldn't think of anything, esp as I aren't eating sweets, crisps or chocolate. So i thought I would give up the SF sweets instead.

    I have always maintained that chewing gum isn't a sweet, its not something that is swallowed. Its a mainstay for me during the day as I do need a fix every now and then of something sweet.

    What do you think?

    What a lot of nice things we are giving up, the do a bit extra is a lovely idea....Father Ted, nice one!!

    I will keep eating the chewing gum then LOL, but give up the sweets. As for tv, I don't have a say, gossiping....Noooooo, life would be too boring LOL, Ironing....whats that!!!

    I don't do FB a huge amount, I check it maybe once a day, but mainly because friends use it to update stuff and events etc.
