Not Losing Substantially

Good Morning/Evening,

Since going onto the Cruise phase 2 1/2 weeks ago, I have been losing then gaining the same 0.3kgs.
Basically, I haven't lost anything since doing the Attack phase.

I am counting the calories that I eat each day and have never gone below 1000, its roughly always between 1000 and 1500.

Can someone please check my menus maybe I'am eating too much diary or something.

Wonder, could I be metabolically resistant to losing weight this way, or do I just perservere and break through whatever this is.

I just read through your diary and I think I've a few tips.

1: probably the major reason for the "stall" were those 2 bad meals you had. (The chinese and the hotdog)
I know you wouldn't think it but stuff like like can cause major stalls and even significant gains, and I'm literally talking about the effect of 1 or 2 meals that are off the wagon. I have had little blips, like a 1/2 cup portion of low fat gelato, that have made me stall for 2 weeks before noticing a loss again.

2: Cut any deli meats if you're eatting them. I notice you mention sliced ham and chicken in a few posts. They're high in sodium and hidden fats and are only barely tolerated once you get to Conso, nevermind Cruise.

3: Try avoid chicken drumsticks. Stick with the breasts. Most other pieces are quite fatty.

4: You mention multile galettes in a few posts. Are you cooking super small ones or going over your oatbran allowance? Any galette I've cooked was maybe 4-6inches in diameter (the size of a small side plate/saucer) with the daily allowance of oatbran.

5: Artificial sweetners, while a lifesaver, can have a dark side if you have too much. Maybe cut of SF jelly for a while.

6: Are you sticking to the 100gs of dairy? I don't know if that changed from Attack to Cruise? I can't remember off the top of my head, but I know if I had much more than that on a daily basis I would see a lower loss.

Other than those you're doing great :D The exercise you're doing seems good though if you like to discuss exercises I found helpful let me know. I've become a bit gym mad in the last year :p
I would definitely say keep at it. It's hard but well worth it! Dont worry about calories, you don't need to count them on Dukan, and if it's causing you stress that can making you stall too. Stress is pure evil when trying to lose weight.

And finally, if in doubt, consult the book and ask on here :) Either way you'll get an answer :)

Hey Silver, thanks for replying so quickly.
Yeah, I knew the chinese and hotdog would make me gain but I really didn't think it would stretch to this far in the future... you live and learn, I won't be doing that again, unless I have a really good reason ;)
(well actually I am going to Thailand for my birthday next month and will, undoubtedly, cheat.. but that being said I will really, really try to be good)

I am going to take all your advice on board from tomorrow onwards, its past 8 in the evening now.
I will:
give up the deli meats
cut out sweetner
give up SF Jelly (for a while, about two weeks, me thinks)
cut the drumsticks (shame because I just, today, bought two more packs)
stick to 100g dairy a day (oops, I didn't know you had to stick to 100g dairy a day, didn't see that in the book I bought).

The galettes are made from 1 days allowance of Oatbran (2 tbsp), on the days that I have more than one galette I have made them quite thin.

I hadn't exercised for about 1 year prior to starting this diet, and OMG, it was tough in the begining, still is actually but at least I am fitter than when I started.
My calf muscles have gotten really big, and thats one thing I hate! I do hope they go down along with the weight loss.
When I'm ready to change up my routine a bit I'll call on you :D

Thanks for all your advice and help Silver

the dairy is max 1ltre, no more than 250mls of that can be skimmed milk. a lot of ppl find they stall if they have 500ml of dairy

another thing ive noticed in your diary is the light philly & herby cream cheese.... philly has to be extra light and is a tolerated item so id cut that out. what is the herby cheese ?

Hi ellie, I cannot get skimmed milk here only low fat. Also, light Philly is the only one I can get here, I'm just not gonna eat it anymore. The cream cheese with chives or hereby cheese is something I make myself. It's not really cheese, I make yogurt with the low fat uht milk then I drain the yogurt for a couple hours until dry and semi hard. It's the consistency of light Philly really.

Do they do skimmed milk powder that you could make up to have skimmed milk as I think no dairy is not ideal!!! Just a thought - powdered milk made up for use in tea and coffee or to make sauces is usually okay! x

They have full fat milk powder here. I've searched for skimmed milk powder and nope haven't found it so far. Even looked in the health food shop and same result.

I read it was 1kg of dairy, yet in the book he says 0% is unlimited, so its all different depending on when the book was bought ithink....it changes so much.

I have milk in porridge and a few coffees a day. Then cottage cheese and yogurts are the remainig dairy, although on very rare occasions I use EL Laughing Cow Triangles on omlettes. I did find after the first few weeks of counting my dairy that I was rarely going above 700g a day anyway. I don't count it anymore because i don't think I need to right now.

Try to go as low fat as you can buy in your area, its bound to still be less than you were having before. Sounds like you have a plan with food though, good luck hunni x
