Have been a serial dieter for years, lost gained lost gained. When I started the menopause at 39 (early) I also got Insulin Resistance Type Diabetes Syndrome X, basically A very very low carb diet is the best like PCOS sufferers. OK I lost easily and quickly nearly 2st with Dukan and it really suits my condition, a few months ago I started again and it slowed down but did lose weight but slower than the first time. I have since put one weight and doctors orders must lose and learn to maintain, I did attack for 5 days following to the T and doing alternate P and PV days and on my 11th day, first 2 days on attack lost 2lbs but for 9 days I haven't lost anything, I am not cheating, it has to be serious this time as doctor weighing me fortnightly which will be Tuesday coming. WHY is it not shifting, is it possible my body after years of dieting is just resisting and will it just kick in soon as realise that it has to start coming off. Please anybody any advice, solutions.

please ignore ticker is an old one.

My fridge and cupboard always consists of:

small mullerlite lemon yoghurts, I have every morn at 5.30am (work for 6) with 2 heaped tea spoons oatbran. at work I have poached eggs sometimes rasher good bacon, lunch can be low cottage cheese with ham, protein meats, balsamic vinegar, crab sticks, smoked salmon, evenings, I have either chicken, lean mince, steak or tuna, or fish with green veg, broccoli, spinach, mixed salad leaves, I also bake butternut squash.

I have sugar free chewing gum packs, I use low fromage frais, splenda, and vanilla extract, and seasonings. I am not good with lots of water but never have been and it worked last time on dukan. Definitely have not cheated at all due to being weighed by doctor so I really don't understand.

Hello sun

Welcome back to dukan. Had a quick look at your menu and things I would change are:
Mullerlite yoghurts - stay away from these as they can cause stalls - use fat free natural yoghurt and flavour it yourself
I would stay away from ham too - this was also a no no when I was on cruise
Rasher good bacon - dont know what this is but the only bacon I ever had was turkey rashers - and then I only had them occasionally
Chewing gum sf - again use sparingly as this did cause me to stall
Sorry to sound like a killjoy but there is loads of other things you can have. My favourites are turkey mince fried with onions mixed into pasatta (tastes just like bolognese) - muffins (these were an absolute godsend and I would never have got to target without them!!), hartleys sf jelly, quark (again another amazing food - mixed with Splenda it tastes just like double cream)
Hope this helps :)

thanks scooter, I will make the changes :) x

Hi, I agree with Scooter. My tips are - avoid Mullerlight definitely. Total 0% is good and if you don't like it plain (I don't) add some sweetener or flavouring. Or make homemade yoghurt, lots of us do as it's delicious and cheap and easy to make in bulk! Also - things that are salty have always stalled me, too much bacon, ham, crab sticks and I don't lose at all. And my hubby loves smoked salmon but tends not to see a loss if he eats more than one portion a week. The less processed the protein the better is a good way to look at it. Good luck.

thanks for replies ladies, so I have thrown out and replaced with suggestions, I am going to have a muffin baking session later :) x
