Does Dukan work for those with "only" a couple of stone to lose?

The book arrived today so I was going to start this evening but just wanted to check it is suitable for those wanting to lose a couple of stone. The "I've lost 5 stone in 5 weeks" stories are great but not relevant to me... Any advice welcomed - these extra 28lb have been hanging around for far too long and I don't want my young daughters to find out that I think of myself as fat. I want them to have more interesting things to keep their growing minds busy.

Hi briony, the answer is yes, if followed correctly like any other diet. I lost just over 2 stone in 2012 going from 12 stone 8 to 10 stone 4, then fell pregnant and put all my weight back on (own fault, I had the 'I'm pregnant, I don't care' approach to eating)!)

I'm back on Dukan now currently at 12 stone 8 again wanting to get back to at least the 10s and I'm hoping to get into the 9s this time around.

This is by far the easiest and most effective diet I have tried (and I've tried them all!) I'm currently just waiting for my 'hunters chicken' to cook in the oven! Sometimes it's like not being on a diet :)

Good luck in whatever you chose, all the ladies on here are lovely and supportive xx

Yes I think it works for losses similar to yours IF followed through the phases to the end. Unfortunately that's where many trip up, somewhere in phase 3...

Before starting though, I'd recommend you get your menus organised, and the requisite foodstuffs in (including oatbran and multi vitamin pills). Perhaps starting Monday would be wiser once you're fully equipped!

Good luck and feel free to ask questions
