    Steak and oil

    Usually when I cook steak I put a very small amount on the steak and cook it really quickly on a very hot pan (I don't like grilled steak) Now that I have started the Dukan diet, oil is not allowed. Can anyone advise me how they cook their steak please? Maybe a stupid question!

    Also I usually take Omega 3-6-9 capsules every day, would I be right in saying I will have to stop taking them?

    I have a good non stick pan so I don't need to add oil. I believe now he does allow a wipe of oil over your pan (put a little on some kitchen roll and wipe over your pan). Things do keep evolving and it's hard to keep up.

    I wouldn't stop taking Omega and I would add a multi vitamin pill. Can you add your stats (in profile at the top of the board) so that we can see your weight, height etc. And then in the diary section perhaps you can open a diary and let us know what you're eating / how you're doing...

    Good luck! It really does work and it changes some habits for a lifetime.

    Thank you very much for your reply. I have tried quite a few times to add my stats, but nothing happens I am not very computer literate so I will ask my son to show me what to do. I will go back on my Omega oil capsules, I had stopped taking them for a couple of days.

    Sorry - I see I am harping on about the stats again elsewhere! haa! Just tell us your height/weight/loss to date etc and we'll try to remember (ahem!).

    Thank you! I am feeling good about it all at the moment as my weight is lowish for me but, to be honest, it's been a very rocky journey in stabilisation. Losing the weight was one thing, back in 2002-2003. Keeping it off is a whole other ball game!
