I've not been on for ages but decided I've got something good to share at last that will hopefully inspire/motivate someone else. I've been on and off here (in Slimming World) since 2012. I had did Slimming World (red and green days) years before and it worked but after my second child I piled the weight on. In 2012 I was determined (or so I thought) to lose all that weight and decided to do SW again, only this time I couldn't stick to it, I found it so complicated, I gave up. This happened on and off up until July this year, a friend of mine told me about the Dukan....it sounded awful, I love bread, I love pasta, I didn't think I could do it. However, I felt huge, squeezing out my clothes, I felt fat, I was embarrassed and decided I'd give it a go. In about two months, and with no difficulty at all surprisingly, I had lost 17 lbs, I felt amazing! I've kept if off and I don't think I'll ever go back, all the old clothes we're put into a charity bag tonight ....thank you Dukan! Now I'm going to join a gym and hopefully tone up a little.
anyway like I say, thought I'd share. Good luck to anyone that tries The Dukan, I doubt it's for everyone but it's perfect for me. I heard recently that no matter what diet you do it will work.....as long as you don't kid yourself on and actually do the diet; but there's no point in doing one that makes you feel deprived and miserable. Now I've lost weight I have my celebration takeaway at the weekend...and believe me I make it count lol and I have my cappuccino once a day (with way too much sugar) and the weights staying off. I've just changed my eating habits for the better.
