40 day christmas challenge

So I've been trying to get back on track 100% this week and seem to have failed again and being unwell hasn't helped.

I've decided I'd like to set myself a 40 challenge in the run up to christmas. There are 42 sleeps until Christmas according to all these countdown clocks so 40 days would bring me pretty close to the big day to then decide what Im going to do food wise over Christmas.

Im not going to worry too much about exercise but I do aim to be;
-100% on plan
- Drink 2-4 ltrs of water a day.

im looking forward to seeing how much I can lose in that time if I'm 100% back on track.
just thought I'd post in here for support and to see if anyone else would like to join me?

Commented on your diary but will say I'll join here too. Need a good run to ensure as many pounds as possible are lost before Christmas 2014! :)
 
Day 1/40.

weigh in: 14st 7lb

Bust: 42
waist: 34
hips: 41
thigh: 24
Arm: 14
Calf: 16

Not had anything to eat yet. Wanted to get everything written down first. I have also decided I'm not going to do food week but may have the odd scrambled egg as a substitute but I'm not sure yet. Still not feeling well but im determined, I've found it difficult getting back on track and thinking a challenge may help.
 
Been thinking and I'm not sure what to do about food week. I don't want to do food week, I'd rather just stay on plan, but not sure if I should substitute it or add food like eggs in and how much. I'll have to think I guess.

I'm the same, I'm due to have food week from Tuesday but I feel like where I've been having extra bits here and there I don't think it would do much difference.

But I feel that I'll maybe add some egg or cheese if I feel I need to but not to the extent of doing a proper food week.

I don't think it'll matter too much, maybe wait until losses have slowed a little and do it for a jump start?
 
My book says that on Food Week you can actually just have a 201cal milk portion instead of your meal. Which is much better for me, I'll make myself a latte a day or something.

I'm up for this challenge though - I've got a trip in three weeks, but aside from that I should be able to get a good chunk off before Christmas :)

Start Weight as of this morning is 11st 5.5lbs :)

Yeah that sounds good. I quite like having a scrambled egg and some cheese and I'm going to miss it but I want to be 100% on plan so I think as you say that may be an idea for food week.

yeah I agree if you like coffee that's a great idea. I wish I was a coffee fan, I've tried but no luck, don't like it.

So I've had an egg pack, a banana shake and a carbonara today, oh and a can of coke. Up to now I've had about 3ltrs of water as well. I don't think this evening will be a problem, strangely I used to pig out most evenings but on Exante ive learnt to deal with it and I don't find evenings difficult really. I nearly had a wobble before my last pack but reminded myself of this challenge and resisted.
im excited to see what I can do, and to see those 13s!

I'm glad that you've had a good day Poppy. My day's been alright, some cravings but resisted. I also almost wobbled. Hubby and kids have had takeout and feel like I'm missing out but remembered how good it'll feel to reach a goal instead of just setting them. :)

Mine decided to bring me malteasers! Which I won't be eating. It'll definately be worth it in the end. Well done for not wobbling.
 
Day 2/40.

busy day but managed to stay on plan.

ive had a chocolate shake, a double chocolate bar and a sausage pack. Also had a coke zero and 2 ltrs of water. I think I maybe in ketosis , I feel like I have a lot of energy this evening.
i must admit I have a chocolate craving this evening but I'm ignoring it, also did a big shop today, ignored temptation, kept thinking about what I'm going to eat over Christmas!

Well done in having a 100% day Poppy. Everyone is different, you could have gone into ketosis already, who knows, the main thing is you're feeling good and that will certainly help you continue on a positive path. :)

The days seem to be so busy recently, which isn't a bad thing when trying to be 100% as it stops me thinking about food and feeling hungry!
Had banana shake for breakfast, bar for lunch and another banana shake just now. 2ltrs water and 2 cans coke - one zero one diet.

Feeling confident, bring on Tommorow!

Sounds like you've been run off your feet Poppy! I hope you're not feeling too overwhelmed. Well done on being so good and resisting. I find it really hard when take the kids out and feed them somewhere other than home, almost feel obliged to have something.

Is tomorrow your weigh in day? How much are you hoping for? Good luck for it. :)

You should join the November challenge I set up. I know there's only about 2/3 weighs worth left but could help setting a small target for that time. :)

Day 4/40.

weighed in this morning, a 5lb loss since starting this challenge which I really didn't expect, down to 14st 4lb so hoping to see the 13s soon.
had a vanilla shake for breakfast , banana shake at lunch and sausages for tea. Ive had about 2ltrs of water so far and a coke zero and a drinks mix warm. Done lots of running around today too, 12000 steps, love my app on my phone, thinking of investing in one of those wristband type ones.

Another day nearly done.
