And the lass who I get on well with and knows im on exante, has made the comment that its better to lose weight slowly so it has a better chance of staying off , than to lose it quickly !!!!
She wasn't talking to me. But it just goes to show what some people really think eh ?

    Hi Marge
Hope you have a good day. I am off to the gym right now.
I am always hearing people say that about weight staying off if it comes off slowly and maybe there is some truth in it but when you have to diet for months and months on end I think that is when you are more likely to fall by the wayside . So give me the quick fix any day.

I commented the other day on either EDs or minnies diary.... that any diet regardless of how quickly or slowly you lose the weight.... most people seem to gain the weight again. No diet is weight gain proof.... IF you go back to old habits then you will gain weight !!! Fact !!!
No diet is safe ! If it was, then I would now be working with a group of skinnies who were successful at their first ever diet.... instead of a group on a diet wheel, continually trying to lose weight at the start of every year/holiday season/ xmas party season/any other special event diet you care to nominate !!!
The difference in my case, is everyone did notice that I had actually lost weight before. .... With most of them, the losses have been very minimal before they revert to their old ways, and virtually un noticed unless they said they had lost !!!
It annoys me ... as I said this all to the lass who made the comment this morning only yesterday !!!!

    Rant over

She has proper issues jen. She is thin.... but does have to work at it.
But sometimes I think she goes too far going on about stuff. Fat grammes, calories, portion control, exercise, her overweight husband ect ect. ....
I just switch off then. I found it difficult to switch off earlier because of what her and I discussed yesterday.
Never mind. I will be how I am with everyone else with her now, which is not discussing diet stuff freely..... only when asked, to be polite

Very much annoys me too. I dont speak to anyone about anything if i can help it, everyone likes to add their 10p in!

I agree that the same goes for all diets, its not the. Its not the type of diet that ever causes the weight gain - Its the attitude and lifestyle of the person! If we all hit goal on Exante, WW, SW or whatever... we have to change mentally while on them, to never go back to the habbits that made us fatties, otherwise we would all gain it back regardless of which way we lost it xx

    Hi Ladies
This is a very good discussion. There are so many experts out there who haven't a clue what they are talking about when it comes to weight loss. The trick is to keep it off but if you have the staying power to use Exante until at goal then you have the will power to take care once you eat normally again and hopefully some of the bad habits will have disappeared along with the weight. Exante will always be waiting in the wings if you ever feel the need to drop a few pounds.
I think it is best not to tell too many people or you find yourself up for criticism and 'advice' too much negativity out there but on here is all positivity. So stick with the forum and ignore the weary willies.

Oddly enough on exante you're not used to consuming food, so when you come off you won't be able to stomach the quantity and volume of food as before! So really you're probably more likely to keep it off as you'll feel fuller sooner and for longer. I've had odd bits and pieces here and there and find I'm feeling so incredibly full after what I'd previously thought of as a snack between humongous meals!
