    Hi Ali, what a rotter, good for you speaking up. I learnt too late to take myself off to clear my wardrobe or have a bath when my OH did that to me. I was furious! I originally intended to start on 1 jan but was seduced with meals more than once and put on 2lb so only count as being 100% on the diet since 5 Jan. I don't drink enough at work either and it makes me very grumpy. Hope you're feeling better and are looking forward to a wonderful weekend. Did you WI today?
    When I get close to 19st he always seems to lay on the temptation, a friend of mine said he's trying to sabotage me because I was more confident and looking better. I don't think he realised though. Sending you strength hon.

    Try not to worry about the day when you didn't drink enough water- just make sure your drinking the higher end of what we are recommended to make up for it.

    I totally emphasise with you on your OH and his naughty take aways! My OH was exactly the same when I started- KFC buckets (to himself) pizzas and a whole lot of rubbish! For him, I think it was the easy factor as he's not very ambitious in the kitchen. To me it seemed like, Oh Im starting this food replacement diet and youve decided to eat all the takeaways under the sun! Now he is cooking lots of casseroles etc which is actually even worse for me because I love hearty food more than takeways! It seems common that with any person in a relationship who is doing something about the way they look would make the other one a little worried.

    If he cant, he wont really know what else to eat, if you know what I mean, other than rubbish junk takeaways.
    The manfriend can cook breakfast, or a mixed grill, but thats about it. So, I do cook an evening meal for him....
    It is easier me to resist that, than takeaways... we couldn't afford it either
    Maybe he just isn't thinking on, what its doing to you

    But I tell ya what Ali, that is some amount of will power you have there, to resist all of that, so you should be super proudof yourself chick

    Ultimate Goal - To be able to look down and see my bikini line to shave it, and not have to do it from memory

    Rules
    1. Never buy anything bigger than a size 16.
    2. Meal plan and write/log everything down.
    3. If I fall off plan on my diet, don't wait until the next day to restart. Brush my teeth, and restart straight away.
    4. Don't overeat. Only eat enough so that I could go for a decent walk straight after eating, even if I'm not.
    5. Exercise for a minimum of 30 mins 5 times a week
    6. Always, always weigh in on a Tuesday. Except when away on holiday
    7. Only ever drink alcohol in social occasions - never alone.

    Goals

    1. BMI under 35 - 16st 13lbs
    2. BMI of 32.5 - 15st 10lbs
    3. BMI of 30 - 14st 7lbs
    4. Overweight - 14st 6lbs.
    5. BMI of 27.5 13st 4lbs
    6. Feel comfy in a size 14.
    7. Maintain Goal 6

    The annoying thing is he does know how to cook, and is really quite good at it. I've made him proper meals while dieting and it doesn't bother me that side, there's never a shortage of food in our house, I freeze a lot of stuff so there's no excuse really.

    I haven't had any of the takeaways he's had, I've always taken myself away and done something else. Usually it's about half 9ish he'll decide oh I'll just order something in, after havin raided the cupboards for snacks. Winds me up!

    I can't be too mad at him as he's a great boyfriend, but that is one particular niggle that keeps coming up.

    Maybe I'm just being petty, I've had a hard week and feel a bit run down. We all carry about so much crap with us, or at least I do, and it tends to stay bottled up and all comes out in one big blast xx

    Sounds like its just because it's easy to order a take away than to cook. My OH had a KFC tonight so I totally know where you are coming from! But I resisted..thinking..nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!!

    Thanks guys, couldn't have gotten this far without your support.

    I had a sit down talk with my OH about pretty much everything that's been bothering me, it goes way beyond food and felt better for it.

    The last 18 months have been some of the toughest times I've been through, I was told I didn't have a job when our department "restructured", then I was admitted to hospital and had emergency surgery for a bartholins abscess, went back to work and was given the worst job ever and it made me miserable, my parents split up and as I'm an only child was very much in the middle, me n the oh bought a house which needed quite a lot of work, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I searched high and low for another job - had 5 interviews in 1 week, got another job which I now love (thank goodness!), have just gotten through the 7th year since my best friend died, constantly worrying that my rheumatoid is gettin worse (meds aren't controlling it anything like they should and consultant doesn't understand why not), I know I want children but it worries me that if the rheumatoid gets so bad I mightn't be able to care for them properly. And yesterday my dad told me he's getting remarried in may this year, but they weren't going to tell anyone until after the ceremony.

    I think I sometimes dwell on things too much, but I'm waiting for the next lot of crappy things to occur!

    However, since Thurs my weight hasn't changed so still a 2lbs loss for the week!

    Sounds like you've had quite a rough time of things. Least this diet is something you can control and when you banish those pounds away will feel brilliant! Will your arthritis improve at all with weight loss? This will put you in a much better position to care for any children.

    Good for you laying it out with the OH. Glad you feel better and hope things improve. You really have had a lot of stuff happen in such a short time, maybe now it's time for the good stuff, new job you love, more confidence and it might take a while but you will get your meds under control. Just let thoughts pass on through and concentrate on now! Unless its a positive one then hang on to it for a bit . 2lbs is super, just as a reminder...

    Yeh it felt like a weight off being able to go through it all, phew!

    The less weight I carry the easier it is on my joints, but it doesn't matter what weight I am it'll always be there. I've been taking tramadol for the pain, but that itself has enough side effects that aren't easy to contend with.

    I was reading one of the other diaries before and totally agreed with one of Angels comments, that it doesn't feel like a diet anymore, just the way it is and losing the weight is a bonus. It's not hard now I'm used to it, and hell yeh 2lbs gone is great! Couldn't believe the pic of what 1lb of fat looks like!

    The less weight I carry the easier it is on my joints, but it doesn't matter what weight I am it'll always be there. I've been taking tramadol for the pain, but that itself has enough side effects that aren't easy to contend with.

    I was reading one of the other diaries before and totally agreed with one of Angels comments, that it doesn't feel like a diet anymore, just the way it is and losing the weight is a bonus. It's not hard now I'm used to it, and hell yeh 2lbs gone is great! Couldn't believe the pic of what 1lb of fat looks like!
