Hi All! I am going to admit it to you all - I am fat, i used to have a waist and now i am day 3 into my Exante journey. Would appreciate some help. In dream land, i have 5 stones to lose to get anywhere near my normal "healthy" BMI weight! HAHA what a joke! Hoping for a couple stones. Have only 5 weeks of exante before i need to come off it so i need some encouragement. I am okay at the moment, i think, but how are you all getting on? Does it get better/easier/less boring?? Oh and Joy to the coke zero gods, nothing worse than having to drink water all the time, thats one of the main reasons i failed a few years ago. Good luck me!
 
Thanks mamakash! Well, i am at the end of day 4. Was it any easier? Hmm....no. I really cant stomach the porridge, its like eating paste. I would quite happily eat the carbonara but it just means come morning i have a half assed attempt at eating the porridge slop. Tried adding cinnamon but it really didnt make much of a difference. Even made some biscuits with the left overs which were at least edible but only when it is wafer thin. Its the only part of my day i hate, the only problem being i have like 20 of them left and if i dont eat them and just double up my carbonara i have like 2 weeks left. So, the question is, do i eat what i like, knowing i only have a couple of weeks of the diet or do i force down the foul porridge which makes me feel sick? Eurg makes me nauseated just thinking about it! If only exante allowed you to swap, or have tasters then life would have been much simpler.
 
Hi, I agree with you about the porridge I got to the point where I had to hold my nose to swallow it, not good! I've been stopping and starting exante for a couple of months now, I find I'm really good through the day and then as soon as I get in from work I really struggle. I've got just over 5 weeks until I go on holiday so would love to shift at least a stone by then. :)

Maybe you didn't put enough cinnamon in ? Or try nutmeg ?

Lol, i tried a little, then a lot! I think its the texture more than the taste. Having a real down day today. Head is thumping, my wee one is ill and i am still hungry! Definately adding in an evening meal soon. Jumped on the scales this morning (start of day 5) just to see if i had made a difference and i am 6 pounds down so i forsee a 7-8 pound weight loss this week but i cant sustain it, so next week its 2 pack and an evening meal. Least the scale is going down, thats all that matters.
 
oh, and i failed on the porridge front, had veg soup for breakfast!! :D

lol. Had chicken soup this morning for breakfast too! Seriously cant do the porridge. Anyhow, does anyone else struggle mid afternoon? I get to 1-2pm and i get so hungry and tired. Plus, keep getting bad stomach pains and diahorrea. Its awful. So much for it bunging you up! Struggling really bad in the afternoon and no amount of liquid is getting that hunger away. I think i need to buy some buillion to get me through. So down :( On day 6, i thought the hunger would have gone by now :(
 
Yes get some Bouillon!! Amazinggggg stuff seriously, and absolutely delicious! Iv drank lots of Coke Zero and Bouillon throughout my journey, God sends sometimes, Especially the hot Bouillon on a cold evening :)

You're doing great hun, Never gve up and you will get past hard times! xx
 
Thank you skinnylove! I struggle with the water side of things as i have never been able to drink water on its own, it makes me boke! yuk! So i bought the water flavouring but they are awful, could never do cheap cordial and it reminds me of that, or like melted ice poles but weaker. Have been living on coke zero which is fine for me but i think i need something else to keep me going so i think bouillion is the key! Need to wait til Monday so i can get to the supermarket. Feeling much better today. Had decided to just side step the porridge and concentrate on the carbonara and bars and its made a great difference today. I think when you start the day with something you dont particularly like it sets the whole day wrong. So i had my carbonara for my breakfast, will have my bar for lunch and a carbonara for tea. I dont care that i have two the same, i quite like the carbonara so its getting me through. I can feel the positive mental attitude developing! Still hungry at times but i need my buillion at that times. Only have stock cubes in the cupboard but i dont think thats what they mean. Got all excited when i found a packet of veg buillion at the back of my cupboard and found it was 2 years out of date!!Heeheehee. Better not! Still pushing through.xx

I sometimes have two of the same thing too :)
I have psyllium husks to help with the runs too. You can get it on line or Holland and Barrett. Its amazing stuff. It helps you go if you can't. And if you have the runs it helps keep everything together, if you know what I mean :)
 
Cool, will look into it, Just the joys of IBS with me, a change of diet always will guarantee a sore tummy. Thanks for the encouragement.x
 
If sticking with what you like most is better then just do that hun! I have only ever done shakes, 3 Vanilla shakes a day every day and still love them haha. Glad you feel better today, Bouillon is a massive help when needed iv struggled off and on with water too but you may find you just get used to it eventually.

Great, thanks. Am at the end of day 7 so its the big weigh in tomorrow morning! Think i will be about 7 pounds down so will let you know. Still struggling with the 1-2pm slump but hubby has been instructed to get the buillion if he can as hes working 14 hour days at the moment so i cant get into town to get to the supermarket. Fingers crossed thats all i need although tomorrow i am going to have a salad for my tea aswell so i think that will be better for me too. Glad i am one week down. Some times you just think you wont do it but you get to the end of the day somehow eh! lol.x

Hi Priorychic. Just been reading through your diary. There are very few of us don't struggle! However it is well worth sticking with the diet for the weight loss. I didn't like any of it when I started but it does grow on you and I can honestly say I like most things now.
