ros9172's Exante Weight Loss Diary

Hi,

I have been lurking on this site for a while and have been very motivated by reading other's diaries.

I started Exante two weeks ago when I weighed 17 st 9 and 1/4 lbs. Having finished the first week I weighed in and found I had lost 7 and 1/4 lbs.
My long term goal is to drop approx 6 and 1/2 st but am determined to take it step by step. Anyway it took me years to put on all the weight and I
am not going to get rid of it overnight.

Second weigh in was this morning and was pleased to find I had lost another 3 lbs. This morning I went shopping and decided to treat myself to some
new boots as a reward (was £19.99 - reduced to £10). Have decided to reward myself when I drop into the 15 st bracket. Perhaps a facial or a decent
hair cut.

Hi Ros. Welcome. You're doing well so far. Rewarding yourself is a good idea. I buy a new bracelet every time I lose a stone - 2 so far! Also, I've had my nails done a couple of times and am considering a facial. It all helps to boost confidence along with the weight loss.

I am doing a mixture of TS and WS and am beginning to find that the way I eat is changing. I eat much slower and want to savour the texture and taste of food. Also realise that the portions I was eating normally were actually huge and it was that together with having the munchies for things like chocolate was responsible for getting me to the weight I was. I am enjoying all the Exante products and like to ring the changes with adding spices and herbs.

As yet have not measured myself but am aware that my stomach and bust have reduced a little in size. Must introduce some exercise in weeks to come in order to start toning up.

Looking forward to Mondays WI.

Just had a sneaky weigh in and have lost another 3 lbs - proper weigh in on Monday and hopefully a bit more.
Like to read other people's diaries for inspiration. This is the lightest I have been in 10 yrs.

Hi Ros. You're doing really well.

Whoops - had gone down to 16st 7 lb but have put on a pound but the inches are def down. Have now started to walk the dog (GSD) as hubby who normally does it is ill. Still doing a mixture of TS and WS and have not been tempted to break the diet. Have taken delivery of package of porridge/apple cinamon mixture and box of choc orange bars (lush). Hopefully the scale will move again next week. Am determined to keep going. Have been taking psyllium husks for constipation which thankfully work very well. This site is certainly motivating. Good luck to everyone.

Just weighed in and have gone down slightly - now 16 st 5 and 3/4 lbs. Would be great to get into the 15's.
Must keep going and looking at this as a long term life change strategy. In the past I have gone on diets then stopped and regained the weight and some time a bit more.
Am envious of other people who drop large amounts weekly but can't give up now. So will see what next week brings.

Keep going! I normally lose about a stone and a half and then somehow it always goes wrong and I end up putting on about 2 stone... ending up heavier than when I began... I really hope this time is different!

Today started off as usual with porridge. Then mid morning had a severe attack of the munchies. I was craving things like bread and chocolate, even found myself looking longingly at the loaf of white sliced bread in the kitchen. I had a couple of boiled eggs and slices of ham but feelings still persisted. Until mid afternoon I made a salad with salmon, peppers and cucumbers because I felt I definitely wanted something to munch on. I was still thinking of chocolate and remembered there was some in the kitchen cupboard and then thought - wait!!! I am having a vibrating plate delivered tomorrow and if I succumb to chocolate it would not stop at just one piece but I would finish the lot. Roll on the rest of the day and hopefully I can keep the chocolate at bay (must put it in the rubbish bin). Hopefully tomorrow will be another day of normality.

Just thought I would say a quick hello, I start today, but have done VLD before, so know how difficult it is. Walking the dog is a great start, we have got a new puppy and from September it is down to me to walk her every day. It's great when the weather is good, not so much when it's wet and cold!

Weigh in time tomorrow but having a feeling I will be staying the same weight. Beginning to enjoy the exercise in walking the dog but having mega problems with constipation despite the psyllium husks and drinking loads of water. Enjoying the irish cream Beanies coffee. It tastes divine. Considering buying the pack of mixed meals whilst special offer is on to give me a wider choice of food. Feeling better/healthier than I have done in years. Will be disappointing if I don't drop any weight this week but have to look at this as a long term life style.

Well, weigh in on Monday gave a reading of 16 st 5 lbs. At least my weight is going in the right direction. Have yet to find a suitable place to put my vibrating plate and have a go. I think there is a very suitable spot in the middle/guest bedroom. (Subject to hubby taking it upstairs. It's rather heavy). In this for the long term and can't believe how my taste in food has changed. Am loving the soups and shakes and the bars are a real treat espec when eaten slowly and savoured. Am using herbs etc to flavour the soups. Have currently got several months supplies in stock and when I feel like munchies have things like boiled egg, pieces of ham and veg. Looking long term at this diet and thinking bring on the 15's and onwards and downwards. Currently lower than I have been in years and can only think long term future.

Just had a cheeky weigh in and have lost another 3 lbs. Now weigh 16 st 2 lbs. Feeling very happy. I can cook for my husband and don't feel tempted to cheat/taste his food whilst I cook. Gradually walking the dog for slightly longer distances every day. I am now a stone lighter than when we got married and have been looking at the weddings photos and thinking I never want to be that weight again. (Heaviest weight I have ever been was 18 st 2 lbs) Can def feel the difference in my clothes and thinking I will soon be able to wear the clothes in the wardrobe that have been too small for ages. Bring on the 15's.

Good luck to others on their journeys.

You are doing so well! So motivating when you read others diaries. My first weigh in is on Monday. so difficult to walk past the scales and not jump on them! x

Official weekly weigh in and now 16 st 1 and 1/2 lbs. Bring on the next week and let's see what happens. Very pleased with loss so far and have lost inches from my bust and am beginning to see my waist re appear. Slight reduction on hips but it is early yet. Must get a tape measure and take proper measurements.

Oh SUGER!!!!! Dun really bad last night. Had not one but two pot noodles. Was mortified when I found out what the carb value was. Have def knocked myself out of ketosis. Woke up this morning feeling like ****. Currently boiling some eggs to eat as am ravenously hungry. Oh well - it is back to the beginning. Lesson learnt. Do not give into cravings and make sure that cupboards are emptied of anything bad.
