Day 1: 2nd January 2014
Started off with an apple &cinneman porridge for breakfast and i was literally gagging on it, didnt like it at all, ate 3/4 of the porridge.
Was shocked how full i felt all morning, untill lunch...For lunch I had the vanilla shake... was so nice and refreshing. This also kept me feeling full all afternoon till the evening when I had the pasta carbonara and was shocked how nice that tasted too, I added a bit of salt and pepper on it for a bit of flavor. Felt fine, not hungry at all
Day 2:
Had the normal porridge for breakfast which tasted so sweet but so nice.. really enjoyed it. Lunch: pasta carbonara again as I enjoyed it the night before, dinner: strawberry shake, which i didnt enjoy as much as the vanilla one, maybe put a bit to much water in though.
Day 3:
Woke up shaking, very very hungry and a massive headache, felt so weak, then I had the porridge and after about half an hour i felt a bit better, for lunch I had the banana shake and then for dinner I decided to have a green salad with some chicken, and felt so nice eating whole food.
Day 4:
porridge for breakfast, spaghetti bolognaise for lunch and chocolate shake for dinner. - much better day, no headaches and no feeling dizzy, hardly feel hungry.

Also been drinking 4 litres of water a day to keep me hydrated and when i do feel hungry I just drink water.

So Far so good... looking forward to going on the scales on thursday morning to see how much iv lost in 1 week.
 
Hey, well done on getting through the first few tough days, sounds like you're really whizzing through them. Good luck for weigh in. By the way, I love the title of your diary...made me chuckle :D I'm going to try and work on spin offs now...the sort of anorak thing I do. hmmm:
no scone until fat's gone
don't risk it for a biscuit (old, I know)

Well, my personal title should read: No bread until I'm dead.
 
You're doing so well Sammi. Sounds like you have got through the first hard days. Ilove the porridge too. Not tried the carbonara but the I'm not keen on the normal carbonara so will give it a miss. Good luck for your weigh in

Im really proud how well i am doing so far .. helps that the hubby is on a diet too so no temptations in the house.

Hey Sammi, how are you doing today? You should be proud of yourself! And remember that feeling when things get a bit tough. It's great that your hubbie is doing Exante too, how is he getting on?
If I remember correctly, there was a commercial in the 70s for a biscuit brand that had the slogan along the lines of risk it to get a biscuit. And although that was before my time, I love all things retro and it's been a saying of mine ever since I first heard it :D I'm such a geek hehe. Might just sneakily add that to my signature...:rolleyes:

Just re-read what I wrote.. Hubby isnt doing the exante diet he is doing healthy eating.. so still no temptations in the house.
Day 5:
Had porridge for breakfast - I really enjoy this porridge, i find it so sweet and filling, so lovely.
Had chocolate shake for lunch - yummy yummy yummy
Had the shepherds pie for dinner - #I added salt and pepper on to it for a bit more flavour and was actually very nice.

Cant wait for weigh in day - 3 more sleeps to go :)

Sorry haven't been on here for a few days, had a busy few days.
Anyway the rest of my week 1 went well. I sold my apple and cinnamon porridge on eBay as I didn't like them and I brought some new shakes (Mint choc & toffee caramel), and brought the curry and 2 soups (Tomato and basil & mushroom).
Anyways on the Thursday morning and literally ran to the bathroom... and I LOST 7 POUNDS!!! I was sooooo happy... I dont need to loose loads so Im happy with half a stone.
My aim for next week is 3-5lbs then I would be at 10stone.
Also Im going away to see family this weekend so Im going to have a dinner saturday and sunday but not go over the top .

Brilliant loss Sammi, well done. Makes it all worth while doesn't it. Let me know what the mint choc & curry are like cos I need to order a few more packs x
 
Susie........ the mint choc shake is soooo yummy
but haven't tried the curry yet :)

Feeling hungry tonight... doesnt help that the hubby has friends round and they have pizza and garlic bread cooking :-(
 
Hi Sammi. Well done on your loss. 7lb is brilliant. That's half a stone in a week! You need to tell your husband that pizza and garlic bread isn't healthy eating!
