Hello everyone, I wasn't going to start a diary but I've now decided to, thought it may help me along my way XD & if it helps anyone else then that's great :)

Well today was my first day on TS. I decided to try this café latte that a lot of people seem to enjoy (vanilla shake with tsp coffee, microwaved) but I didn't like it :( Boooo
I was really looking forward to it as well - maybe I made it wrong :S any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

So that was breakfast down the sink :( When I got into work I opted for a mug of bouillon which was yummy - I think my taste buds might have to adjust to all the salt but yummy nonetheless.

Lunch I opted for a red berry bar, which WOW was it sweet - sweet but edible. (Don't think I can say nice though :(

I'm hoping I will find something I enjoy - however it was the same for me on CD I didn't seem to like anything. But I'm keeping in high hope, otherwise this is going to be tough! Plus, it's a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things!


BUT, I am only on day one - lots more to try yet! - I have a very small portion of chicken and lettuce tonight for dinner (I did Cambridge this way as well, doesn't affect ketosis or weight loss, but nice to have to cook something and CHEW!)

Can't wait to go to bed tonight and know I've finished day one! Sad isn't it!

Hi Dolly, Well done on starting your diet.You will find the diary does help keep you on track. I've never been one for diaries but glad I did one now. I'm not keen on the latte either. Prefer the vanilla plain.
You may find that you become accustomed to the taste of the packs after a while although must say I struggle with the strawberry. I love the porridge though & the chocolate shake is also good. Hope the rest of the day goes well x

Thank you for your reply, I am really hoping that I grow to like them and my taste buds will change - I was a nightmare on CD Lol, I did the whole diet just on banana shakes!
I am going to go really basic this week and next week I'm going to buy some extra packs to try, like porridge and the meals - It's not the taste with these its the texture on CD I didn't mind the taste of the porridge but I just couldn't swallow it!!!

I haven't done CD but did LL. I was the same in that I only had thai curry soup for 4 months lol. This one is much better all round although I haven't tried many of the meals yet.
The day is going good so far thanks but we are out tonight for my sons 21st so it is going to be a bit difficult. Will stay low carb though & see how it goes x
 
Ah, well good luck for tonight Susie !!
Obviously being day one I haven't tried much yet but the bars and shakes I have tried I've found are really grainy, has anyone else found that too??

Best of luck Dolly! I'm sure I replied to you on another diary that I thought was yours oops! I hope you find your favourite pack soon, there's a good few packs available now thankfully x
 
Hi Minnie, I do have another thread in total solution that I've been talking to you all on so it was probably there! Just thought I would do a proper diary!

Well , this morning I tried a chocolate shake which tasted okay, but I think my main problem is that I can't drink something that thick in the morning - so yet again couldn't stomach my brekkie :( booo
I'm going to have to rethink what packs I have and when - not sure how to do that though! It's too awkward to have a shake during the day because of work so I haven't the foggiest what to do! :(

Atm I'm just having a bar at lunchtime & my teeny chicken and lettuce in the evening - so I need to do something otherwise I'm gonna feel yucky and not get my vits & mins!

Anyway day 2 is off and rolling!

Water the shakes down Dolly, they are much more palatable that way. I usually have a mouthful of shake followed by a mouthful of water. That way the fluid intake goes up significantly as well. As you say early days yet & you will find a way that suits you. x

Not bad, had a little slip up last night but nothing major. Good day so far though. I don't usually have my 1st pack till about 2ish cos my evenings are the worst. Seems to work ok x

Hi Dolly. The shakes are best done in a blender with lots of ice and a lot more water. Try that. Also, the new raspberry and chocolate bars - I wasn't at all keen at first but have found I like them well frozen.
