Bravo's journey

Hi guys, only just noticed there was a diary tab so thought i'd join in.

Im on day 4 at the moment, so the first entry will play catch up!

Basically I'm recovering from surgery and although I can work again, I'm not allowed back in the gym just yet, so I've joined in with exante to shed a couple of stone, with the ultimate goal to fit back into my 36" leather biker bottoms in time for summer.

Day 1 (Tuesday 25th feb), start weight 17st 7lbs. Started my day off with a strawberry shake, took a bit of getting used to, but tasted nice enough. Followed by a toffee bar, which was nice too, but my dinner of Thai chicken soup was disappointing, think I'll need to add something to it. Plenty of water consumed too.

Day 2 - consisted of a chocolate shake in the morning, a chocolate orange bar around 12pm, and tomato and basil soup for dinner. All 3 were superb, really enjoyed them all and apart from a strange taste (assumed to be ketosis) in my mouth I had a good day with plenty water and no hunger.

Day 3- bit more of a challenge, as It was my first day off work and boredom was kicking in. However, I stayed good, had vanilla shake for breakfast, toffee bar for lunch and I had to have the tomato soup again! I did however have a coke zero when at the cinema... Oops!

Day 4 - today. I woke up worrying that the coke zero may have affected my weight loss, so thought I'd sneak a peek (sorry!) - was might surprised to see I'm down to 16st 13lbs!! Drove to work with a spring in my step, had my chocolate shake and now I'm sat with a chocolate orange bar, probably going to try the veggie soup! Plenty of water today, but iI'm really impressed with the loss!

Sorry if there's any spelling errors I'm on my phone for now!

Great start Bravocharlie. We started at the same time. I am on Day 5 and have resisted the temptation to weigh in yet…but for me too it is going OK. I have not to any bars - I've got shakes and meals and that seems OK for me so far, though I had a disaster with the pasta carbonara - too runny. So good luck and keep up the good work.

Thanks Taupe, appreciate it, good on you for not weighing in, I should have been more strict on myself! I'm dying to try the carbonara aswell as everyone raves about it and I do enjoy carbonara hehe. I think I might order spag Bol and shepherds pie to try aswell though

Hi Charlie, sounds like you're off to a flying start!
Don't worry too much about the coke zero. As I understand it, it won't bring you out of ketosis and doesn't have any calories in it. The only thing is that it might upset your stomach a bit. Lots of people on here mention drinking it anyway :)

Hi Guys, thanks for the support. i'm just after my veg soup and - as nice as it was - i felt like i was missing chewing something.

i feel like cooking a bit of chicken tonight, can i ask what peoples thoughts are on it? i've been told it's allowed but worried it's still cheating!

Thanks darcy! You too :)

I resisted the chicken btw! Feeling pretty good and positive today too, and it's beautiful out, too bad my bike is in pieces or i'd have been out!

Hey, there weldone for sticking to it ,I have just started the diet first day nd so far so good ,I've done cd before nd lipotrim but didn't last more than 7 weeks cheated 3times too but I did lots of exercise too . I lost 1st 5lb but it was hard work because it was emotionally challenging and I started to shed a significant amount of hair and this is the only thing that im worried about thus time round but I wish I could stick to it this time , because I know im not hugley overweight but I still have 2st 5lb to lose such is alot .
Good luck to every one on here xx

Nice Darcy! just wrap up warm!

Confused, sorry to hear you had a bad time last time round with other diets, but hopefully Exante will help you out, i've found that it makes me feel more positive and full of energy, i've even been in to work on my day off today to clear emails!

you can do it :)

So, i fell off the wagon last night and got drunk :( had every intention of not drinking but i ended up doing so :( pretty disappointed as it means i'll need to restart all over again. luckily, no nights out for a couple of months so i should be more determined this time round! scared to weigh myself now though...

so, after my let down at the weekend, i continued with the diet and today still counts as my first weekly weigh in.

my start weight last week was 17st 7lbs... today i weigh 16st 10lbs :D i'm more than happy about that, having never followed a dietplan in my life it's really given me faith in them, and i'm determined this week i will be 100%, i've no nights out to look forward to and the only temptation i have to avoid will be today - pancake day!

hope you are all well, and thanks for the help and advice so far :)

11 lb loss & got drunk LOL, well done, that's an excellent result .

My daughters bike is all in pieces out in the garage. Wish she would hurry up & get it sorted.

Have a good day :)

Thanks Darcy!

apologies, the last few days have been pretty manic. i've been ill unfortunately and couldn't keep any of my packs down :( i had a bit of chicken when i felt a bit better and now i'm back on the diet. i've set myself an aim, though. i'm hoping to get into the 15's by the end of the month (30th is my target date), if i can do it i will be over the moon! once i'm into 15st9lbs (or less) i'm visiting old doctor, who should confirm that i'm well enough to exercise again. i miss the gym, and i miss food! been doing bits and bobs to the bike to take my mind off food with a solid thought on looking good this summer!

a lot of compliments lately, too. apparently my face has lost a lot of weight, but i'm yet to see it. one thing i will say though, is that my trousers fit a little bit better, and i'm wearing a belt on my 38" jeans! i'm happy with the diet, but it's going to be a difficult couple of weeks!

i hope you are all well,

BC x

Hi BC. Just been reading through your diary. You've done really well so far. The important thing is to keep at as far as you can and if you go off track keep posting, don't just think you might as well eat everything in sight and get back on track as soon as you are able! Hope you're fully recovered soon!

Thanks Lynne! I appreciate it! I'm getting worse as the days go, I had a strange experience with the bars today. The chocolate orange one tastes fine until I bit Into a bit further down and it tasted absolutely disgusting! I think there was something wrong with it as it tasted really off! Nonetheless, loving everything else, think my next turn I'll order meals though!

Hope you're all having a good evening!

Hi CB. That is strange! The chocolate orange bars are my favorite! I think it takes a while but you develop a taste for exante packs. The only one I really dislike is the mushroom risotto.

Thanks Lynne, I agree the orange bars are definitely my favourite too, but this one tastes horrendously salty! Went in the bin and I starved till soup time! Never tried the mushroom risotto to be fair, I'm keen to try the spag Bol and the carbonara though!
