    Slim for christmas!!!

    Hello all!

    My name is Kylie and I'm a food-aholic! Did exante about 4 years ago and found this site so helpful at keeping me motivated so I'm back again! Didn't do a diary last time and only managed about 6 weeks so I'm hoping this time if I keep a diary going it will keep me motivated to succeed! Last time round I only had a few stone to lose... This time is a different story lol! Weight this morning and was 15.4 :-( wasn't a huge surprise but I can't believe that I've done this once before and let it all (plus a whole lot more!) creep back on!! This time round the things I will b doing differently to keep me on track short and long term are 1) keep a diary 2) acknowledge that this is a long term diet - it'll be at least Christmas before I'm at goal realistically (holidays, weddings etc meaning I won't be able to be 100% ts during those times) 3) plan for an exit strategy lol! I'm going to get down to about 10.5 using ts then hopefully lose another stone by going onto maybe something like 5:2 or slimming world... And will monitor my weight every week and make adjustments where necessary - I'm a classic oh well I've had a bad meal / day / week / month so it doesn't really matter lol! Then a year later I'm like "where did all this weight come from!!"

    So today, day one, how exciting! I have a headache and I'm hungry... Which is clearly all psychological as I usually don't eat until 1pm anyway and tend to have a bowl of cereal!! I'd forgotten just how nasty the bars are... Just had a double chocolate bar for lunch, am about a litre of water down, then will have a shake when I get in from work and a hot meal at dinner time with dh. So pleased there are more options now from exante - and hot meals too - I'm really hoping I like those more than the bars!

    Anyway, end of rambling for me now, looking forward to catching up on everyone else's diaries to keep me motivated ?

    So day 6 for me! Not had too bad a ride so far, last night was a bit different, Friday night would have usually been my reach for a glass of wine after a long week at work night, but I saved a chocolate shake instead lol!

    Hunger all gone now and I'm feeling really positive today, just had a BBQ next week cancelled so that's handy as I don't have to make excuses as to why I'm not eating / drinking. So I think I'm all clear until about the 12th July when we have a wedding and then a christening the next day.

    I do have weird "ooh I really fancy so and so" food thoughts, but when I sit and think about it I'm not hungry at all and then the craving goes away... This is a weird revaluation and one I'll keep in mind when I reach near where I want to be. Also think I'm going to keep a list of things which I fancy whilst doing this, I got the idea from another diary and think it will be good to look at at the end and see if I actually still want any of it.

    I've sort of decided in my mind I'm going to be on ts until early December time.

    Have spent a lot of time over the last week reading other peoples diaries and they have really inspired me to stay on track - it's so achievable!

    I'm a daily weigher, it's spurred me on this week, last Saturday I was 15st 7lb, and I'm now at 14st 10 which has massively motivated me! Official weigh in for week 1 is Monday morning, and then I think I may try to leave it a full week to see how it's going... I know the losses slow down from here!

    First mini goal is to get below 200lb which should happen in the next couple of weeks - yay!!

    Anyway, enough of my ramblings, I think I'm trying to put off the housework lol!!

    Ahhh thanks both :-) don't think I've kept myself busy enough today as sneaky food thoughts keep popping up! Just having a browse through diaries whilst waiting for hubby to get home then going to take our baby (dog that is, maud, but don't tell her she's a dog, I think she actually does think she's my baby!) for a lovely long walk, hopefully the weather holds off, where has the lovely weekend we were forecast gone?

    Also keep thinking today I wish I'd started this is the new year, then is be nearly at goal now, but know that type of thinking isn't helpful, at least I have started!

    I've been reading both of your diaries on and off for the last week, both amazing! It's so funny, some of the things could have come directly from me too! I guess we all have the same struggles and thought processes! They have helped keep me right on track this week though so thank you!

    Phew, just got back from mammoth 3 hour walk with hubby and maud. Steak now cooking for rob and spicy spag Bol for me! Yummy! Feet ache now lol, so DVD then off to bed for us, we'll sleep well, poor maud isn't even following me around the kitchen, she's flat out next to rob on the sofa!     STS this morning - even after all the walking last night - I think my body thinks I actually did eat the Big Mac lol!! I think it's time for weekly weigh ins after tomorrow's official week 1 weigh! 1st mini goal is to be under 200lb - should be 2 weeks - I also think that's the lowest I will have weighed for the last couple of years, whoop whoop!!

    Lol, well done cate, salads a good choice, I wobbled into a pack of ham whilst I was making hubbies sarnies for tomorrow! Could have been worse - a lot worse - said dear hubby was literally wafting chocolate chip cookies under my nose earlier - he's lucky he kept his hand lol! But I resisted after giving myself a talking to after ham-gate! Can't wait for week 1 weigh in tomorrow, then it's definitely onto weekly weighing for me... As others have said, I can quite easily talk myself into a reward or consolation depending on the numbers! Night all keep up the good work :-)

    STS this morning... So 206lb, 14st10lb, 8lb off from last Monday and 11lb off in 9 days from my weigh on the Saturday. I know 8lb is a good loss, but I was kind of hoping for more as I have a lot to lose and others have had great week 1 losses.

    Oh well, onwards for another week, think I may do a bit of a countdown til my weekend off in July for a wedding and christening, may keep me sane!

    Also, if I'm tempted to weigh before next weekend please remind me to back away from the scales!!

    Had a couple of nightmares last night, I seen to remember last time I did this that I had them too :-(

    Oh well off to work in a bit for me, at least the week is more structured so I have less time to tease myself with food thoughts!
