Well Im Back, I never thought I would be but I am :(((((((

I started Exante back in 2012 and ended up shedding 9st 3lbs which made me feel fantastic, but since then I have allowed myself to regain all that weight to my disgust, I new the weight was creeping back and kept saying to myself that I would start Exante tomorrow or next week but to no avail.

I basicaly let MYSELF Down big style and I am so fustrated with myself about that.

But now I have to be positive and set off on my journey yet again to the place of happiness.

I must say the Exante product range has changed so much since last time so I will see how the new products fair up.

Last time I didnt keep a Diary but think it may help me this time so here goes.

Im on nightshift at the minute so will be having my first porridge in the morning when I get home and hopefully I will get into Ketosis fairly quickly.

Good Luck To You All.

Hi Dave, there are quite a few people on here who have lost weight doing a VLCD and then allowed it to creep back on again in much the same way that you did - by keep on promising ourselves that we'd start tomorrow or next week so might as well eat what we want today or for the rest of the week only for the re-start never to come and the weight to keep on going up! Your previous results are really impressive. Good luck on getting back to your goal.

Welcome back Dave.

The diary will definitely help you. It will make you feel more accountable to your self in the long run.

I have been off track for a week or so (planned) & having this diary will make sure that I will be getting back on track on Monday as planned. If I wasn't keeping the diary it would have been months before I got back to it.

Good luck this week & hope that ketosis arrives quickly for you xx

Welcome back :)

Very best wishes for getting back on track and losing the weight again

.....been there, done that

Good luck! I'm on week one and exactly like you back after putting it all on over the last 3-4 years or so! Like you I'm doing a diary this time round and hoping it helps :) and yeah the range is loads better this time round - I love the hot meals - don't feel like I'm missing out now when hubby has his evening meals (cooked by me - groan!) positive mind sets at the ready for both of us! :)

Firstly thanks to those replys I have received so far, its much appreciated.

However my start on the 14th June didnt go to plan as my Exante pack had not arrived and even though I had a few left over from previous I didnt have enough to start properly.

But I am stocked up now and have started the Journey today Monday 16th June 2014 instead.

Its going to be a fun start like as im straight onto Nightshift tonight so my body will be all to pot for a few days but im used to the effects from my last journey on Exante so I should do fine fingers crossed.

I Started the Day at 6.30am by getting weighed ouch... 24st 3lbs then had a Porridge at 7.30am and did the school run, I went to bed at 11am for sleep ready for nightshift tonight, got up at 5pm and Im just going to have my next sachet now at 6.30pm before I goto work.

Hopefully going to have a good night..

Wednesday 18th June 9.50am

Well its been just over 48hrs since restarting Exante and im feeling Good..........

Nightshift on Monday went excellent, I had 1 Bar (Tesco ultraslim) staggered during the night and then a Soup (Vegetable) at 5am to keep me going till I got home at 8.15am then went to bed at 10am for a catchup snooze.....

I got up at 2pm and picked kids up from school and had my next sachet (Mushroom Risotto) at 5pm, first time having this so trial and error making it but it was ok. then about 6.30pm I had a cup of Boullion to warm the body up followed by a Vegetable soup at 7.30pm.

Got up this morning and feeling good, im a stickler for weighing in most days so I had a step on the scales this morning and Wow, I know you loose initial water weight but 9lbs loss in 48hrs is my best yet and im already in Ketosis. :)))

Had myself a Porridge this morning which I love so roll on the rest of the day.

So so true that!
Good luck with the restart Dave. I think I learned a lot with gaining all my weight too - I have learned some hard lessons that I hope will keep me from going so wrong again second time round - I am sure it will be the same for you. I am going to think a lot harder about maintenance strategies whilst in abstinence this time. x

Hi Dave, Mondays are apparently statistically proven to be the best day to start a diet so your delayed start could be a blessing in disguise!

Why You Should Kick Start a Diet on a Monday / Fitness / Weight Loss

Well done on getting off to a cracking start - I didn't lose 9lbs in a week when I started, let alone in 2 days! :happy096:

Wow what a wonderful start, well done Dave.

Friday 20th June 2014

Another good day yesterday apart from the fact I was not hungry, my brain kept saying "Why dont you eat something, Why dont you eat something" lol

But I overcome this by being strong and resisted the urge 100% :))))) (Wish I had done this before I put all my weight back on though)

Im well back into my routine of spacing out when I have my products, however I have noticed that the Exante products descriptions of how to prepare like the cottage pie, red bean chilli, etc. if I follow them to a book my meal would be ruined so at the minute its trial and error in the preperation stage of some items.

Im back on nightshift tonight so I have had my porridge this morning and will be going back to bed soon till about 5pm.

I also had my usual jump on the scales this morning and im loving the result 13lbs in 4 days Oh yeah.... and still 3 days till my official weigh in so im hopeing to beat my previous best of 15lbs by then.

Anyway Good luck to everybody, stay strong and be positive as it does work.......

Well done Dave for getting back on plan & a great start, i too have regained weight after previously doing a VLCD. The first time round i done Lighter Life but my financial situation has changed & couldn't afford LL, thank goodness i have discovered Extante - So much cheaper :)

Good luck x

13 lbs in 4 days is brilliant! X

Hi "If At First"

It looks like the same thing happened to you in the past with you putting your weight back on to, hopefully this time round we will both succeed and will stay thin, hope you do well as we have both learned the hard way.

Too right Dave, it is a hard lesson learned eh? I am so determined not to let it be a lesson I need to have twice! Another forum member who lost a lot when I was doing LL the first time round and who has regained some although not all, said "The hardest thing I learned is that while success has been proven, and tasted, and LOVED, - hanging on to it is such a difficult and delicate balancing act - and held together only by the sheerest and most fragile vulnerable threads....which can break in and instant and become irrepairable, leaving the only option: go back to square one. The place you swore you would never go again. " Very true, I LOVED being slim and bouncing about everywhere, I was so, so happy but as she says it is a thin thread between that and regaining which is something I thought I understood first time round when really I hadn't a clue!
It has taken several aborted attemmps to recapture what I had over the past few years, but this time I feel my head is in the right space to see it through and this time maintain too. We can do it eh? we know that we did it before, we just need to show ourselves we can keep it off too. All the best x

Monday 23rd June 2014

Well its been a good week 1 start this time round for me with a total loss of 16lbs :))))

I even beat my previous best of 15lbs from when I did Exante last time before putting my weight back on so heres looking forward to week 2's results, hopefully I can keep up the good momentum as I did last time.

Im back on night shift tonight so hopefully that will give me a good start to week 2.

That's ace Dave absolutely brilliant. Something in the air, today was my first weekly weigh too and I beat my first weigh in from last time round too :)
It's a fab pat on the back and I expect it has encouraged you as it has me no end and shown you YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN!!
