Just placed first order

Cannot leave it any longer I need to lose weight.
My mum has a variety of weight related health issues and I don't want to find myself in that place in twenty years time.
Plan to spend this week cutting down on carbs especially as I have a wedding to attend next week. Then I plan to throw myself in to the diet 100% and with the longer summer holidays coming (I'm a teacher) I plan to work hard so people notice when I go back in September!
i want to do a diary as I feel this will stop me from falling off the wagon!!
So next Sunday I will be back with weight, targets and enthusiasm.
Wish me luck as I wish you the very best xx

Looking forward to you joining us. Enjoy the wedding. :)

Welcome & good luck, enjoy the wedding xx

Box arrived today and it was like opening a Xmas present. Feeling ready to go for it 100%. Thanks for your support xx

Good luck, Claire! We are all here rooting for you :)

Day One
in a positive mood to start the day. Drove to work with my water bottle, filled it up, drunk it, filled it up and so it went on!
I spent hours in the loo I feel like a sponge. I've always drunk a lot of water so need to continue. Have another 2 litres in the fridge for tonight - just in case. Had a strawberry shake about 11.30 and a bar on my way home. I literally nibbled tiny bits until there was nothing left to chew. It took me all of my 40 minute journey to get through it.
This evening I made pasta carbonara and it was disgusting. I'm glad I bought the taster week so I could find out what I like - defo not pasta carbonara!!
hubby made his own dinner so kitchen is out of bounds.
Tomorrow is another day xxx

Well done on getting through day one, Claire. Just get through the first few days and it does get easier in that once you get into ketosis you no longer feel hungry most of the time. It then is mostly a psychological battle and it's the same one we're all fighting so you'll get lots of support on here if you're having a bad day. Good luck and good for you for having the guts to start this. :)

hubby made his own dinner so kitchen is out of bounds

That's really lovely of him :) my hubby does all his own cooking to (mind you he did all my cooking before i stated exante as i struggle in the kitchen most days - he's my full time carer) How you getting on today chick? Good luck xx

Day 2 yesterday was another successful day. Even bypassed the buffet at an after school event.
Day 3 today and still going strong - the shakes and bars are my favourites. Tried soup today but to be honest the weather didn't really suit a cup of hot soup! I ordered some raspberry porridge that was on special offer and that's nice but a little sweet for my taste ( leaves a bit of an after taste too).
I am drinking lots of water, at least four litres a day, and I leave a two litre bottle of fizzy water in the fridge to drink through the evening. I haven't even had one cup of tea or coffee and no headaches so the water must be working. I think the week before cutting down carbs helped too
I bought some ketostix so I can see when I go into ketosis and have already gone into 'trace' colours so fingers crossed for tomorrow.
I have even made my hubby's sandwiches for work without picking a single thing! Not even a nibble!!
i hope I can stay this positive - determined to stay off the scales until week up.
Thanks to everyone for their support - it really helps knowing there are other people out there in the same boat xxxx

You sound very positive, glad you enjoying Exanta. I can't stand any of the soups personally I find them vile, I only like the spag Bol meal I haven't tried the shepards pie yet? I love all the porridges, shakes & bars apart from the double choc one. Haven't tried it yet as I'm really fussy when it come to chocolate & to be honest I don't think I would like it...good luck for the rest of the week xxx

Sorry not been posting but end of school term is so busy - on a positive it means I haven't thought of food. I have decided I am a shake and bar girl cos the meals and soups are definitely not to my taste! I like the porridge though.
Had a disaster today when I managed to smash a bottle of nail varnish all down the stairs - walls and carpets - an event that would have driven me to food (or wine!) previously but not today. And the amount of scrubbing should burn off some calories too!! One thing I have noticed is how tired I am - partly end of term I know - but so so tired. Falling asleep on sofa and still managing a full nights sleep. Has anyone else had this?
i bought ketostix so know I am in ketosis but still tired! At lest if I'm asleep I can't eat xx
have a lovely weekend peeps - I'm off to a BBQ in the rain with no food or alcohol allowed - sounds fun xxx

Hi Claire. So far so good. You're doing really well. Hope you enjoyed the BBQ!

Hope your weekend went well Claire. Perhaps the heat is having an affect on you. Are you drinking enough water? x

Morning all
week one completed and eight pounds down. Hopefully into the 15's next week as now I'm off school I can step up the exercise.
Susie58 - I would normally drink 2-4 litres a day so have had to increase to 4-6 on GP advice. I've checked my blood sugar and it is 4.6 so that's fine. I must just be a sleepy sponge!! X
good luck to all for a successful week xxx

:wavey: Hi Claire just subscribing to your diary. Well done on a really successful first week and a great loss!

It really is a great diet and if you stick with it you'll likely be in the 14's when you return back to school :)
