Hello all, I will be starting Exante diet today. My start weight is 15st/ Age 20/ heigh 5ft3... This is my first time on Exante, so I will appreciate any advice. I ordered 3 box of 50 ~ Bars/porridge, but I will be doing 3 bars a day then mixed it up next week. As I am typing this message, I am eating my third bar of the day and is only 6pm! hahaha Gosh, I'm starving...I been thinking about eating pizza all day. This diet will be a challenge for me cause I love food. Oh well, I won't give up just yet :D

Once the first 3-4 days are over and the hunger fades it gets easier.

Hi,

Good luck, I found the first 4-5 days the hardest but after that it got easier, two weeks in and it's ok, but I'm taking it one day at a time.

Work out what times of the day you generally feel more hungry and work out what pattern works for you. I find even though I used to eat a lot in the evenings I'm generally not hungry in the evenings now but I struggle in the afternoons, so I work around that.

Find a few different things you like so you can vary it depending on how you feel.

And write on here regularly

Good luck! Like the others have said the first few days are the hardest.

With having 3 bars a day just bear in mind you're taking in less fluid than if you were making up shakes etc so you'll have to up your intake. There used to be a limit on how many bars you could have, that has been lifted now and it's fine, but there are a few tips mentioned about it on the Exante forum.

Not sure what the rules are on posting links etc but I did a quick search for 3 bars a day and the thread '1 bar a day restriction lifted' came up. Hope it helps :)

Good luck BiteChu. Drinking plenty of water is important & as others have said once ketosis sets in it will get a little easier.

Some people get a headache & feel cold in the first few days so have some painkillers if you need them.
Posting on here will help you stay focused & there are lots of interesting diaries to read that will help you through the difficult times.

How have you found the first day xx x

I decided to eat 3 bars a day because I thought bars will make me less hungry. I googled it and read the "bar" thread just now. Thanks for the info !
I had no idea that I was taking more calories in compare to the other products, so I will try to get some shake next week to mix it. At the moment I only have Apple & Cinnamon Porridge and Chocolate Orange/ Toffee Nut & Raisin Bars .

My first day was not so bad. I went to bed hungry last night but didn't cheat all.
Drinking water all the time is abit annoying but I will be fine. Thanks for the advice :)

You'll get use to all the drinking BiteChu. The more I drink the more my body wants. Just need to have a loo nearby lol x

Haha true, I went to the toilet alot today and I had class too =.=''
by the way Susie, When you started your diet? Is it difficult to stay on it for a long time? Do you eat normal food sometimes ?

When I did LL a while back I found it very easy to stick to TSing & I managed to stick with it for four months. Then Christmas came & because I went back to the old habit of eating chocolate it crept back on. Its been much harder since then & I have been on & off quite a bit since January. I never added food when on LL but this time I have & have struggled each time to get back on properly.

If this is your 1st time on this kind of diet the main thing to remember is that you need to be able to change any bad habits afterwards. Have a read of some of the maintenance diaries once you can, they are full of good advise. xx

I saw that we have same height and almost same start weight so I was wondering how long it took you to lost 2st. I still have a long way to go and christmas coming... I really don't want to mess up this diet.

About 10 weeks I think. If you stick to plan it averages out at about a stone a month. Some lose a little more & some lose a little less x

Day 4~
I stopped eating 3 bars a day since day two. No cheating so far but just lazy to drink water
This morning I had strawberry shakes with iced cold water, toffee bar in the afternoon and will have porridge tonight around 9pm. The bar and porridge are really nice. The shakes taste oily for me so I don't like it as much. I think I am into ketosis now since I had headache and felt really dizzy in class today...
Hmm... Been walking home instead of taking the bus like usual. I also worked out what time I should eat without feeling hungry later.
My diary is more a weekly diary cause of homework and assignment

When I started Exante, I keep myself motivated by reading other people thread and also watching weight lost programs. I thought I will probably cheat alot or give up. I couldn't see myself not eating real food for that long, but I tried my best and I must say I surprised myself haha. I thought day 1 -2 was hardest, but when I reached day 3, the hunger wasn't that strong.
I still crave real food when I smell something good. I will start thinking about eating it but the hunger is not there. I cheated once by eating chicken, but overall my week was good. I still find drinking water everyday difficult...
Since is Monday I checked my weight this morning and I lost 11lb:eek: . I am so happy! I am really excited for next week because I never been under 14st in 7 years.
Finger crossed for next week and thank you all for the advice I got for week 1
