Started today. Had a caramel shake. This is the first I've tried those as they weren't available last year when I did this before. It was ok, smelt good but tasted a bit minging lol. I had a red berry bar just now, and ugh it's disgusting. Far too much taste going on there. What the hell is that about? Think I'm going to have to swap those! I hope the chocolate ones are better. I'm not doing too bad for day one. Good stuff. Excited to get into ketosis. Usually takes me a good week but on the plus side I don't get the stinky breath or pee or metal taste so yay!

Hi and welcome back Amanda. I'm loving the hot cross bun bars this time around, I freeze them and they're almost a fudge/toffee like texture :drool:

Lost count of how many re-starts I've had, but determined to lose it and keep it off this time around. :fingerscrossed:

Thanks GP! Ugh I've hated every bar so far. I'll stick to the shakes as they're the only thin on exante I can tolerate. Day three today and not one slip up yet. It hasn't really been very hard, I haven't been hungry at all. Hopefully ketosis isn't far away and I can start burning some fat! Can't wait for my weigh in on Wednesday!

Good luck! I am a shake only person too, lol, whenever I took a chance on something before this time I usually couldn't stand it! Although I have just ordered a couple sausage and egg packs to try at some point :confused:
 
Hiya! Oh let me know how the sausage and egg packs taste. Ugh I hate almost everything on this diet lol but the shakes are bareable. I'm suffering today. Decided to have some vodka and coke zero last night and it's made me super hungry today. Plus my Graze box came in the post and it's all lovely stuff I really want to eat :( typical. So I jumped on the scales in the hope that what I saw there would spare me on not to rip open the Graze box and I've lost 9lb already and I only started on Wednesday yassss! So I won't be touching anything. Long as I get through today the hunger should ease. I'm delighted to have lost this much already woohoo!
 
Well done on your weight loss so far chick, I'm a mix it up person. Love the cereal bars, the red berry ones ok, don't like the chocolate or hot cross buns bars. Love all the shakes especially made into ice cream...Lol pancakes & porridge are lush, eggs & sausage mix are okish. Can't stand any of the soups & not a fan of the meals apart from spag bol...

Well done for resisting the graze box, I don't think I would have been so good..Lol xxx

Thanks girls! I got through today great, though I was totally starving. I might be going into ketosis soon. I am hoping for three stone off by Christmas and I'll be super happy :D
Ugh the red berry and chocolate bars make me gag. I hate all the meals and I've never tried the soups. Shakes are fine. I am so proud of how well I've done so far this time!

Ok day five come at me! I'm hopefully in Ketosis now because I don't feel as hungry and although I don't have much more energy so to speak, I do have four kids two of which are babies and one a toddler lol, so I don't expect I would have anyhow. I have stayed perfectly on track and I'm so proud. You really need to be ready for exante I reckon. And I think I'm in that place. I have wanted this for a long time. Does anyone know anyone who has followed total solution for six months to the letter? That's what I plan on doing and it would be great to hear from someone who says it's totally possible to do.

Day five (almost) done. Makes it easier when you sleep the whole day haha. Little ones had me up all night and my boyfriend sent me to bed. I dreamt I ate cake lol but I didn't so yaaay!

Soups are one of my fav, not had the mushroom, but the other 3 are ok. I add curry powder to the veg every other day just to mix the tastes up a bit.
 
Hi Chris :D I might get some soups next time round. Are they as disgusting as the meals?

Day 7 and I haven't slipped up once. I've nibbled some chicken when I've been starving but other than that nothing. Be interesting to see what I weigh tomorrow

Not as bad as the meals, I don't mind mode meals but they all take some work to make them edible/enjoyable. The soups are fine as is, I just like to eat something now and again. If not I think I would just drink soup 3 times a day.

Yes I just do shakes but I'm sure I'll want something more next time. I hate all the meals though. Maybe I'll try the soups for flavour difference.

Ugh today has been the hardest day yet, I am starving. I had some vodka last night and won't be doing that again because it boots me right out of ketosis and I suffer the next day. I didn't give in though, so a perfect week and weigh in tomorrow. I've also been feeling really down. Is that normal? I've heard others say they felt down.

Well done on your great loss so far and good luck for weigh in tommorow. You sound like your doing great, especially running around after little ones too. I agree you definitely have to be in a place or have got to a certain point to consider and do this diet but I have to admit 4 weeks in and I'm not finding as bad as I though it would be, although I have had the odd bit of chicken or a scrambled egg. I had the sausage mix tonight and I think it's lovely, even my husband commented on how nice it smelt, the eggs are ok too.
 
Oh thanks Poppy! I just did my weigh in and I've lost 14lb!! A full stone :D I'm really happy. It's spared me on for next week although I know I won't manage to lose that much again. Oh that's encouraging about the egg and sausage, I might try it. Oh don't worry about the scrambled egg and chicken, both times when I did exante before, neither made any difference to my weight loss and are great when you are completely struggling, miles better than bingeing!!

I've just re-started Exante today - reading this has made me smile and made me more determined to get through.. keep going! :)
 
Yay! Go you, hope you do well. It's day 8 for me I guess. I'm realllllly struggling today I'm so hungry. I think I need to add something more satisfying than three milk shakes. Maybe I'll have a little chicken and I'll be ok, it's allowed so yay.

Sorry to hear your struggling today but your fantastic loss will hopefully keep you going!

I'm an all shakes girl too, definitely think adding the chicken will work for you. :)

If it's allowed go for it I say, obviously better than giving into bad for you. :D
 
Thanks Sheridan, I had some chicken and burger meat and it helped so much. I was on the verge of murdering a packet of Cadbury chocolate pretzels, but they're safe for now. I really don't want to give in. I don't feel the not hungry feeling of ketosis so either I'm not in it, or I'm just not getting that side effect. Hopefully this gets easier soon. This is day nine I think (I've lost count lol). I really want to lose three stone by Christmas and I'd feel sooo much better. It's not long right? It's only a few months and then I can ease back in to healthy food again. I can do this! If I don't do it now I never will xx
