My Weight Loss Success Diary - Hour by Hour ;)

AllYours

is on a mission.
Hello there

I start Exante tomorrow after coming to the realisation I don't have the willpower to count points, work out syns or mess about with calorie counting. I need something simple, strict and regimented and for me that is a VLCD. I am hoping to be on Exante for three months and then changing to a grain free diet to lose my last few pounds and then maintain on

Hey there, good luck!!! I hope the diet goes well for you! I'm so with you, on the size 20 black smock thing!! Imagine, lovely little dress just in time for Xmas! We can do this!!!! :)

Thanks for the moral support ladies... much appreciated. :)

My shakes arrived at 11am... I have just had my first, strawberry.... quite tasty I think. I am also sipping from a 2litre bottle of mineral water and shall have three or four coffees throughout the day too. My toddler didn't sleep well last night and I ended up having two hours sleep... I am just hoping that I don't feel so tired this afternoon that I crave a carb lift and give in. Getting through day one would be such a psychological boost for me... if I can do it for one day, I can do it for two days and if I can do it for two days I can do it for three days etc.

Thanks Pheonix (good luck with your journey too) I have read that day three and four are the most difficult on a vlcd but for me it is that first day. My carb-fiend says 'it's only day one, have a biscuit/bag of crisps/cream cake and start again tomorrow' I find diets harder to break once I have day one and two under my belt. I don't usually get carb-flu (when I have done the Atkins and other low-carb plans) but I do get a very dry mouth and feel really cold... I am looking forward to those keto signs.

Oh... and I am one litre of water down (one to go) I have had three black coffees and I may have a ginger herbal tea later (if ginger is OK on this plan.)

I woke up this morning feeling good... stomach is growling (it's a strangely powerful feeling) and when I stepped on the scales I have lost 3lbs overnight so I shall use this loss to spur me on. (Yes... I am one of those dreaded daily weighers. But I only get weighed first thing in a morning... evening weigh-ins are too disheartening.)

I shall have my first shake around 10ish... coffee and water shall get me through until then. LO slept from 7 until 7 last night so I had a wonderful sleep and I am ready to tackle VLCD day 2! Three shakes, 2litres of water, a couple of herbal teas and some coffees... a feast lol!!

Flagging a little at the mo... I have had my second shake, 2litres plus of water. I am fed up of black coffee and my legs are aching (2 hour walk around shops with Nephew and then bowling.) I am looking forward to getting LO bathed and put to bed so I can chill in front of the TV tonight. I have hovered throughout the house today and managed to get three lots of washing line dried.... a busy but productive day.

Thanks Whimsey. :D I agree with you... my stomach feels flatter already, very empowering, I shall use that for motivation. xx

Did I really say I don't suffer from carb withdrawal flu? I woke up this morning with a killer hangover type headache... urgh! Still I know that means a good thing in the long run, ketosis is on it's way. I have taken a couple of pain killers with a big glass of water, hopefully it will lift soon. However... on a more cheerful note, I have been weighed this morning and I have lost another 2lbs overnight Whoop whoop!! I love this diet!! So 5lbs lost in two days.... that will spur me on to have a 100% day today.
That and reading through a few other diaries.... great motivation seeing others in the same boat and succeeding.

I am cooking a lunch tomorrow for friends... planned before Exante, so I shall have 150 cals of chicken sliced and a few spinach leaves. I am just hoping it doesn't bring back the urge to eat... hopefully not as it is a virtually carb free meal. I shall also have sparkling water as a treat... lol @ treat.

I'm getting fed up of black coffee... today I am using a scoop of vanilla shake in my coffee, I have read that it isn't far off using powdered milk. So the plan is today... strawberry shake, toffee shake and vanilla shake for coffees. Lots of water and a disco dance with my daughter in the sitting room... fun easy exercise.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone. xx

Good luck Allyours, good idea taking it bit by bit. I completely agree with you about points, syns and calories, I'm rubbish at those too and so this seemed like a good idea, strangely I'm really enjoying it and the forum is a great help.

I am enjoying the freedom from food.... being an emotional/boredom eater I am having to find other coping methods when I feel stressed or bored. Not having to worry about food is very liberating.
I think this is an ideal way to break my binge eating cycle, 12 weeks of shakes and the odd bit of protein and salad and hopefully normal eating patterns can be restored. I am gluten sensitive so my diet will be just about grain free when I resume eating... hopefully a low to moderate carb diet will help me maintain.

Wow Poppy have you lost a 21lbs since 1st SEptember? That's a great weight loss... keep up the good work toots. xx

I am having the toffee caramel shake for brekkie at the moment.... it tastes like a weak butterscotch Angel Delight... not great but drinkable.

Feel tired, hungry and headachey this afternoon, day three, the hardest so far. I am looking forward to bedtime... once LO goes to bed it will be bath, Xfactor and then bed for me.
I had a slice of chicken this morning... all of 30 calories and no carbs but I didn't want it to be the start of picking. I took LO outside into the garden and did plenty of weeding. I was covered in spiders (yuk) and bugs... but it certainly stopped any more picking.

I have drank 2.5 litres of water so far and have had a cple of painkillers... still feel rufty tufty... roll on ketosis.
