Hello all I'm new to this site. I was on Exante forum but it was far too quiet and then came across this site this evening.
Im starting the diet tomorrow morning I've never done a VLCD before I've always been on a diet mainly with weight watchers but recently I've been gaining weight.I have read through the diet plan today and I think I understand it all. I'm 32 years old and have been with my boyfriend now for 9 months he his dead against me doing this diet but I have to lose the weight before next year.

I plan to get down to 12.7 by December for my boyfriends birthday. I have ordered my dress this week and it arrives on Monday it's a size 12 I am now a fat size 14/16 and it makes me so sad that I'm this big again.

Inplan to post regularly to keep me on track. My willpower is totally rubbish so tomorrow will be a big test for me.

But I'm ready to break out of the 13stone brackets now... It's my time to shine. Xxxx

Welcome Honey!

This is a great forum for support and we'll certainly all support you as fellow exanters.

You could definitely reach your goal by December if you stick with diet. Are you doing TS? Most people have a good lose between 4-10lbs) on the first week (the more you have to lose normally the higher it'll be - but everyone is different!) and then average around 2lbs every week after.

The key point is that if you do slip up and fall off the diet wagon - draw a line under it and move on! Don't think it means you've failed! Tomorrow is always a new day.

Good luck, look forward to seeing your progress. :)

Thank you for your kind words. My head is buzzing tonight. With fear I will fail lol. But I need to do this for myself before Christmas. How have you found the diet? X

Hi Honey!

I've found it easier to stick to than I thought and that planning ahead makes a big difference. Focusing on determining what triggers you have for over-eating and what support you need is important. I know it's hard as your boyfriend is concern you are doing this but it isn't dangerous. It's just a strict way of managing food so you have a chance to lose weight and evaluate at the same time. I'm sure once he sees how much better you feel in yourself, it'll be better.

You can do it. :)

Thank you. This month I don't have any reason not to stick to it. I don't live with my boyfriend so I should be ok most days lol.

Well I'm wide awake at 3:50am I just couldn't sleep. I plan to keep busy today this month I have to see and feel better about my body. "I'm doing this for myself";)

I wondered why you were awake lol! I thought you might be a night worker like me. You're right about it being quiet in the TS forum. I'd been more or less talking to myself for the last couple of weeks until your post earlier :).
It's great if you don't have anyone else to cook for. My husband was away for a week and it was brilliant not having to think about food at all!!
Some men don't 'get' the diet (and some women for that matter) and think it cant be good for you. Fact is we're definitely getting all of the vitamins, minerals etc that we need which I'm sure many people doing their own thing diet-wise probably don't.
Anyway, once again, good luck!
Hope you got some more sleep too!! :)
