So! Here we go again!!!

Hiya all *waves*

I'm not a newbie to the site, was on here a year or so ago (LMP) but I rejoined again.

So, the story so far lol, I lost 8 stone about 3-4 years ago doing Lipotrim and exante. Long and short of it is, I gained 2 stone. Then got pregnant ? and here I am almost back to my starting weight. Baby's now 14 months and it's time I got myself sorted out.

I've hit rock bottom again, even been looking at WLS abroad, my Dr won't agree to a gastric bypass so I'd have to fund it myself. Apparently they don't do it on the nhs in Fife :(
I'm 100% sure it's a bypass I need. I just can't bring myself to get into £6k worth or debt for it just yet so thought oh sod it. I'll give exante one last try.
I got my box of shakes yesterday and I'm gonna start on Monday. I'll go and get weighed at boots on Monday morning and take it from there. Really need to just get on with it. I feel disgusting and it's really beginning to play havoc with my moods.

I'm only gonna post here tho or in 100% section. I canny have good thoughts or that atm.
And please, no pussy footing around me. Tough love and honestly is what I need. Oh and a wee bit of bum whipping occasionally lol

Hi Clair! Welcome back, I'm sorry to hear that you've gained and are feeling unhappy with yourself but well done on returning to try again before making the big leap to surgery.
I'm sure you'll at least be able to lose a decent amount that will help you reassess how you feel about a surgery.
I need tough love too a lot of the time, I can reason my way off the diet all the time and then complain how someone should have stopped me. I have to stop myself! It's no one else's fault.
Anyways! Haha I look forward to seeing your progress and hope you stay posting - good and bad! You can do it, just remember how good it is to see that big loss in the first week! :)

Yeh, week one loss should be a decent one. I've spent the last few days eating every bleeding thing in sight lol

Your right about the surgery too. Funny thing is when I lost the 8 stone before I'd hit rock bottom and was looking into banding, had the appointment for assessment booked then I heard about Lipotrim so thought I'll give it a try. First time in my life is ever managed to lose more then 7lbs haha. So I'm hoping that it'll be the same this time. Just gotta make sure I don't get pregnant afterwards again pmsl.

How long you been on it? xx
 
Hi Clair.. You can do it.. This diet is tough as you know but its not as tough as being unhappy with yourself all the time.. You probably know that when your unhappy with your weight your either thinking about it all the time or blaming everything in your life on it. I have spent twenty years either hating myself, berating myself, planning what diet to do next ( normally to start on Monday ) and then failing again. This diet all be it hard has freed me from the internal endless voice. I dont know how old you are and am not going to ask but I can see by your post that you have a young child. Dont be like me and waste twenty years. X

Yep, it's a vicious circle eh, eat get fed up eat coz your fed up get fed up coz you've ate blah blah boring hehe.
I'm 31, and I can remember being fed up with being overweight since I was about 13 so I'm not too far behind you haha.
That's why I'm on the edge of booking surgery. Kinda feels like that's the answer. I know for sure if I manage to lose this time and regain then that's my only option.
I don't want Olivia growing up and seeing constant dieting and misery.

Can only try my best eh?!

Better to know now what you weigh then shy away from it lol. Life can get in the way majorly, but not going to have much of a life if don't shift the weight is my motto.

I've been on Exante for 46 days now, not all 100%. I've set myself a 100 day challenge initially. Where I hope to lose 3st total, then decide how much longer I want/need to get to a comfortable weight.

I did Exante a few months ago before my wedding but only started 5 weeks before the big day. So going for the finale this time round. Have broken it into smaller goals though instead and it makes it easier for me to cope with. :)
 
Welcome back! Most of us have the same story, losing and gaining, life just gets in the way sometimes!! Im back to lose the weight I gained also!! Looking forward to seeing your losses, you can do it, you have before!! :) xx

Yep your right, it's only really 4 days eh? I'm always fine when I get into ketosis. It's just the getting there lol. But her we are, into the afternoon and I'm doing fine lol only another 3.5 days and I've cracked it pmsl xx
 
19 stone exactly. OMG ?
I knew it was gonna be bad but it's still made me mad at myself.
But on a positive, it's still a stone lighter than my heaviest :D
The only way is down now right?

So I've made it to the afternoon :D already had 2 litres of water :D not feeling too bad at all. Hopefully this will last, don't remember having this feeling of determination in a long time.

My goal is to get to 14 stone, that's my comfy weight, still classed as Over weight but to hell with it!!

Baby's sleeping so I'll quickly get the house tidied up for the 3rd time today. I honestly don't know how I'm not skinny already. Oh wait I do..... Galaxy and coke ??

Well done in weighing in- the worst is done and you will never see that number again!! I'm restarting too, only on day three and ketosis isn't even near yet, must be all the carb binging last week!! I bet you have a fantastic first week loss!! :)

Keep posting regularly so that you can stay accountable to your self.

Good luck this week, you will see a nice big loss once week one is under your belt.

Why do we do that? Have a start date and binge on rubbish and make it harder for ourselves lol.
I'm hoping for a good loss but sometimes my useless body only gives me 6lb or so!! I know that's still good but when you see the bigger people's normal losses (14lb+) you canny help being a wee bit envious hehe

Not sure how often I'm gonna weigh in yet, if I don't weigh there's a chance I'll think sod it and cheat but then if I do weigh and it's not what I expect (like 5 stone off every week haha) then the same. So I'll see how I'm feeling Monday.
Probably best to weigh and see the first loss tho, maybe spur me on a bit. Then decide how often.

well done for taking the leap and trying again, definately a good idea to try exante again as surgery sounds a little scary. Your story sounds similar to mine and probably a lot of others on here I suppose, but that's a good thing, having others who understand how your feeling. That first weigh in has got to be the worst but think how great it'll be next week and if you've done it before I bet you'll get back into the swing of it in no time. I've fallen off the wagon recently and now back on track and seeing the scales going down is better than all those things I like to eat.
Weigh in wise I guess you've got to do what works for you, I have to control myself or I'd be weighing myself everyday :rolleyes:

I still kinda believe surgery is the answer but I'm gonna try 100000000% at it this time. I've said that if I manage to lose the weight then the money I would've spent on surgery I'll take Liv (my wee lassie) to disney land. Now that's worth sticking to it for eh?!

I think I was finding it hard because it's the first time I'd ever lost a substantial amount of weight and then to regain it all barring a stone is awful. Just proves that losing it is the easy part eh!!

How you finding it? How much have you got to lose?

I'm gonna say that's day 1 done. 3 shakes. About 5.5 litres of water :D I've got a stinking headache and a burning throat so I think I'm getting a cold :( so I'm gonna get some pills and have an early night.
I'm really pleased I've managed a full day, never managed it this far for a very VERY long time. 3 more days that's all :) xx

I started around the 17st mark and I'm aiming to get to 11st, so about 6st which sounds scary. I think losing it on this plan maybe the easy part, I'm dreading trying to keep it off. I plan to split it into two bits the losing and the maintaining and take it a bit at a time. The maintaining means me facing my food demons and eating better permanently.

i know what you mean about losing and regaining but you've done it before and you can do it again and this time you've learnt from last time. Just think of that Disney trip, that'll keep you going.

try some Echinacia (not sure if that's how it's spelt) tablets, they helped me when I had one threatening a few days ago.

well done on day one keep going, you'll soon be in ketosis and it'll get easier and then you'll have that nice first loss to keep you going.

My weigh in varies Clair. A few weeks ago I was going to weigh monthly then yesterday I decided to weigh after my 1st week restart. I weighed again this morning so have now weighed daily too lol. Once the weight loss settles I will probably weigh weekly x
 
It's Tuesday, I'm dreading today. I go to my great aunties for lunch. It's always mince and veg with a roll. She's 86, so doesn't agree with "that bloody starvation nonsense" so today I'm throwing a sicky. I text her to say I had a poorly belly but I'd still take Livvy down for her lunch. So I've managed to get out of today lol

Which brings me to thinking about the food week. I never ever done it before, I always just had chicken and veg once a week instead. So I'm wondering what I should do this time?

What does everyone else do? I really wanna succeed this time and I think maybe a full week of food would send me off track.
I'll maybe just have my mince and veg on a Tuesday and that's it. No rolls or pudding. I'll try throw a sicky for a couple of weeks tho!!

Some people add milk to their shakes on food week rather than eating.

It is so difficult when family want to feed you isn't it. Can't you take a bar with you when visiting your Great Auntie & stick with that. I did that this weekend with my dad & just had to sit through the tutting lol x

That's a good idea but actually I think I've cracked it.... She told me today I'm getting fat and should diet again hahahahaha
Ah I never thought about milk instead. Think I might just do that.
If I done food for a week I'd defo add extras :p x
