Total Solution Last Push!

Hi Everyone,

Thought I would join up and start a diary as motivation for what will hopefully be my final time on Exante.

Over the last 3 years I've been on and off TS and managed to get myself from around 18 stone down to around 13 stone. My target and mid point BMI for my height is around 12 stone but I came off TS with plans to start running to loose the last few pounds, however a stressful summer worked against me and I never got there!

I started a new job about 6 months ago which requires me to be away from home 3-4 days a week and I slipped back up to 14 stone, making the most of a generous meal allowance and all the other things that go with working away.

So... Before things get too bad, I'm back on TS until Christmas to try and shift 1.5 stone. I loose pretty quickly on TS as I find it easy to stick to without cheating :). 1st week is normally around 6 lbs and then a pretty steady 3-4lbs a week after.

And then to learn some self control with the company credit card!

Started this morning as I have a couple of days from home so had a chocolate shake for breakfast and a choc orange bar for lunch. Feeling fine so far, slight stomach rumbles and slight hunger but nothing a couple of black coffee's didn't sort out. From previous spells on TS I normally find it hard around day 5, not with hunger but with crazy headaches for a few days but as soon as I get past that I'm normally fine and even sleep 10 times better than I normally do!

Need to get the scales out of the garage for a weigh in this evening and I'll post up my progress every few days.

I've got a bag all ready for going away with a smoothie blender type mixer and plenty of packs.

Wish me luck!

Welcome to the forum FB. 1.5 stone is achievable by Christmas & you sound very determined & organised. As you say the worst part is the headache. Hopefully drinking lots of fluids will help you through that bit.

Good luck this week.

Morning, so I've grabbed the scales from the garage and all is not as bad as thought!

Weighed in this morning at 13st 5.5 lbs so I'm setting my goal at 12st which puts me right in the middle of the healthy range. Should be achievable by Christmas.

Started with a Chocolate shake with added instant coffee. Rubbish nights sleep due to headaches. I'll weigh in every 3-4 days as I know from previous experience that my weight fluctuates quite a bit on a daily basis!

That's good! If you stick to plan you should be there like you said by Christmas no problem.

How exciting! Good luck for your first weigh in!

So after 3 long days in London and a 6 hour drive, I'm finally back home.

Pleased to say that I managed to stick to just shakes and bars whilst away but did have to have 4 a day as I was finding it pretty hard to focus at work.

The headaches have kicked in this evening and painkillers don't seem to do anything to help so I'm going to struggle for sleep for the next couple of days. From experience these should go after a few days but it's a sign that I've hit ketosis.

Had a quick weigh in when I got home and I'm down 3.5lbs so far. Hoping to loose 5 by Monday which will be my first full week back, and I'll be happy with 2-3 lbs a week after that.

Well done FB. Fingers crossed for Monday

Morning Everyone,

Missed my Monday weigh in as I got called away with work for a couple of days.

Just weighed in this morning and I'm just back in the 12's @ 12s 13lbs.

So weight loss over the first 9 days is 6.75 lbs. I know most of this is water weight so hopefully from now on I'll be loosing fat (preferably from around my belly!)

First week was a bit harder than I was expecting, possibly because I'm only trying to loose the last 1.5 stone. Headaches were particularly bad this time but they've passed now.

Really enjoying some of the flavours that weren't around last time. Mint choc shakes are great and the lemon bars make a nice change from the choc orange ones I normally have.

Hope everyone else is getting on well! I'm reading other diaries for inspiration!
