Happy New Year

Well here we are another new year. I *have* to loose three stone if not 4 for Whitby Gothic weekend in April so am doing total solution. So far since Jan 1st i have lost exactly one stone. The only way I can stand this is thinking about going to the Whitby pie shop in April

I toyed with exante a couple of years ago but wasn't really in the mood. I'm not overly keen on the current bars and shakes box, I hate the white chocolate bars and shakes. I also dislike the hazelnut shake, to me it tastes like liquidised ashtray contents disguised with hazelnut flavour and I don't smoke. The rest of it is ok. Bring back the days of orange choc chip and toffee and raisin.

In order to get myself motivated I have bought my outfits in a size 12-14 so if I don't loose the weight I will be in serious trouble because I can't afford any more outfits - a radical solution I know but i know I won't stick to it if I'm not a bit panic stricken. It's certainly worked this month, everytime I've gone to the fridge I've visualised myself not being able to get a size 12 over my head

I'm the opposite when in panic mode. It makes me go completly off track!

Thank you both. I try to weigh weekly but most of the time I stand on the scales every morning. My husband is doing paleo and is doing pretty well too. I like exante becasue the weight really comes off if you stick to the plan. I can't have any easy eat food in the house at all - it all has to be freezer stuff or things my husband will miss if I eat them. He counts the eggs everyday!!!

Happy new year Mrs R! I've been to Whitby a few times but never yet managed the Gothic weekend.

Years back I used to buy a dress or outfit in the size I longed to be and then slim into it. It worked pretty well. Now however I tend to lose weight more slowly and I suppose my self-belief has taken too many 'knocks' to be totally confident of losing all my surplus. Even so I might just buy a size 12 special outfit and hang it on the outside of my wardrobe. It worked before, and it may work again!
