Serialslimmer's journey back to bohemian slenderness

Further to Jayne's recent suggestion I've decided to start my own diary. I am superstitious so have previously avoided doing so - I was hoping Greeneyedgirl's diary would continue to 'bring me luck'. However I don't want to hog her territory indefinitely so here I am.

I already knew from long personal experience that getting back into TS after a break - for any reason, including health issues - would be hard. And so it is proving. I'm craving again in a moderate manner. I yearn for the taste of ordinary food. Last night I thought, boy, could I go for a salad roll. I am vegetarian so my choices of protein nibble are limited. I didn't have the salad roll. I couldn't anyway because I had neither roll nor salad in the house! I did, however, have a loaf in the freezer.

Right now I am making a tiny low-carb loaf in my breadmaker. There are tons of good recipes online for low-carb breads and rolls. If I get desperate for a slice of toast tonight I'll make it low-carb.

Keep up the good work, girls! Exante is a great diet and TS is not the only way to lose weight. I just prefer it because it's the fastest LOL.

Glad to see you have got your own space on the forum Serial.:)
Its good to be able to see your stats so that we can all give you the support to help you to keep going. Not long now till you reach the important health benefit of 10% loss.

Never had Low carb bread, what does it taste like. x

Woohoo. Great to see your diary, don't leave me though, love your posts and god knows I need all the support I can get :)
We're here for the long haul serial x

The bread and break maker! sounds like heaven. Can't beat a hot bread roll. Yummm.
I held out til 6 for my second pack. Think I was starving today because I had more coffee than normal so I'll learn that lesson (hopefully!).

Have a good evening!

Yay to your diary :D I'm sure it will bring you plenty of luck in its own right ;) Good luck! :)

Hello gals! Welcome and thanks for posting.

Well the good luck seems to be kicking in already because despite my wee slips I've lost 2lbs. Ha Ha. The benevolent Universe really does have a good sense of humour. I'm chuffed because when you add carbs even in a small amount the crazy amount of water your body holds onto makes the scales go nuts. I've reduced calories by a few hundred from my sick-bed 1200 so that probably helped. Not complaining!

Now I must get back into the swim of things. I can't deny, however, that I am feeling much hungrier these days. The body jumps for joy when we eat a bit more - it thinks the larder is full again and starvation no longer the norm.

Green I'll stay on your diary thread, don't you worry about that. Hope you are well in the 14s today xx

Just seen Green's fantastic WI result. Go, Girl! RIGHT.

This has made me decide to shake myself good and proper and aim for a 3lb loss next week. Do-able if I somehow manage to add exercise which is not easy with limited mobility. Maybe I can sit, bob up and down and wave my arms around madly? LOL.

The good weather is making me feel sad, stuck indoors as I am. But the sunshine streaming through my bedroom window is cheering.

Hey Lady! Thank you for joining my diary thread.

I just had a lovely cleansing shower and yet again thought to myself, aargggh I want my slim body back. I'm huge - a real heifer; I WANT and need to lose this regain. I know everyone here will understand - we've all been in this situation at some time or another. Indeed, many times.

GRRRR fat I hate you! LOL. But I don't hate ME any more. Self-loathing does only harm x

Serial, great to hear your motivated to get back onto 3 a day and gallons of water. I get feck all exercise... you can get that 3lbs goal even without it.
I know you can xx

As G says you can still lose 3lb a week without exercise on this diet Serial. However every little helps so why not do some upper body type of exercise. It will make you feel good overall x

Had a good day so far. I'm very tired mind you. Not sleepy so much as lacking energy. Of course carrying so much extra weight is bound to make a person tired! I'm looking forward to the wee boost of proper ketosis.

Have you managed 3 packs today Serial x

Hi Serial :) Well done on your 2lb loss. Heaps of luck for your goal of 3lb next week :)

Managed three packs so far, yes! Hope to get through the rest of the evening and night unscathed LOL x

Early night with a book ? x

Afternoon, my dears. I didn't manage to post last night as I was so weary I went to bed early (!!!). Very unlike 'me'. I slept like a top which, again, is unusual for me. Feel dizzy today - there's always a price to pay for excess.

Had a good day diet-wise. I'm making a sterling effort because I want those scales to reward me on Wednesday. Running out of bars yet again but I'll order some on Tuesday. They make this diet, they really do. I also love the choc pudding and the porridges (not the raspberry one although I can suffer it at a pinch). Today I must try somehow to jazz-up a curry pack. Onion, garlic, tomato puree (maybe a couple of chopped cherry tomatoes?). The small amount of extra carbs won't do much damage and if the pack becomes enjoyable it will be worth it.

God I'm spaced-out with all that sleep LOL.

Weekends can be extra-tough so good luck everyone. Have a lovely Saturday and a nice Mother's Day. My dear son and his lovely gf are coming to see me tomorrow.

Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and have a lovely mother's day serial x

Thanks, Green! I may not sleep until very late after my sleep-a-thon. A bonus really because I need to wash my kitchen floor and have a quick tidy-up for son and gf's visit tomorrow. It takes me AGES to clean and tidy. I am a lazy housekeeper (!) partly because my mobility is limited but mostly because I hate housework Ha Ha. So monotonous and taxing. However it has to be done and particularly so when guests are coming. I haven't seen them since Boxing Day. They work hard all week and gf works Saturdays too; both put in long hours. I would love to see them more often.

Have a lovely Mother's Day Green - your slimmest and fittest for a good wee while! LOL x
