So today is day 1 of exante. I weigh 17st 3lbs. :wave_cry:

Breakfast was a strawberry shake, I made it far too thick and it was a real struggle to get it down. I worked from 9.30 - 2.30 and managed to just have water, I'd taken my soup for lunch but didn't have chance to have it. I was really busy so that helped any hunger pangs but actually it wasn't too bad.

I picked kids up and had my 2nd meal - a vegetable soup at about 4pm. I liked it thank goodness, although I need to practise mixing as I had lumps in it!! lol

Tried to hold off for my last meal but I was really hungry, had a pint of water but that didn't help so I had my last meal..beef casserole. YUK. I ate it cos I was seriously hungry but I wont be ordering it again...think ive got 2 more in my box but I wont be hurrying to use them.

Off for a bath in a minute as my mind is on food constantly.

Need to drink 2 more pints of water before 9pm. Think if I drink later than that i'll be up to the loo a million times!!!
 
Hello Boof! Welcome to Exante LOL. The flavours seem strange at first. Pretty soon you get used to them and even start to look forward to eating/drinking the ones you disliked. I'm not mad on the savoury meals, myself. Even so they do kinda 'improve' over time. I add oxo, seasoning, curry powder, chilli powder, chopped onion & garlic... Whatever I think might improve the flavour. Good luck and keep posting x
 
:welcome: Helen. Stay true the first week and it does get easier. Your tastes might change so try the beef again later on. We got a mixed box of one of each pack, except soups, just to try and some are nice. I'm a bar and shakes girl myself.
Good luck on your journey, diaries are a great place to vent and celebrate, there is loads of support on here.
 
I got a cheap blender off amazon and its changed the soups and shakes for me :) much creamier and no lumps. I always start with less water then add if needed. It's really just trial and error with the packs, like the others said adding flavours, there's even adaptations you can do that are more exciting - I've made a pizza base bun for the burger mix before - YUMMY! Wanna try more things like that next week :)

Day 2 done....OOOSH!!!:D:D

SO breakfast was porridge...it was ok, think I will like the flavoured ones though. :) I met some friends and had 1/2 litre water, coffee and peppermint tea. Then I went on a 3 mile walk with a friend. Felt tired and a lot hungry but I managed!!
Lunch was a curry and rice pack which I quite enjoyed, could eat it again so that's always a plus!! I had a pint of water to fill me up but am still struggling with drinking loads.
Dinner wasn't until just now..I had the pizza but made dough balls cos I made the mixture a bit too wet. Made the tomato sauce and dipped my dough balls in and was pleasantly surprised!!

Had rough moments today where i've felt overwhelmed with how much weight I have to lose and how im going to stick to this for so long! Ive felt hungry but not ravenous so have managed. Going out for the day tomorrow and slightly worried how im going to cope with hunger pangs... going to take a bar with me and drink lots of water but I think im going to need some will power angels with me!!!

I completely relate to it being overwhelming. Don't think of the bigger picture just getting the small goals or milestones and before you know it you'll be well on the way. I started at 17st and after 15 weeks I'm 13st 4.5. You can do it and you'll feel the difference very quickly xxx
 
I used to think that on the first few days and now I feel like I could do this forever haha :) x
 
Helen, the first week or two can be a real challenge. But before you know it you're in ketosis and buzzing. Exante really keeps it weight loss promises and is so much cheaper than other VLCDs that it's like a huge gift from the Universe! LOL. You're doing well, just keep at it x
 
It sounds like you're off to a great start well done. Don't think of how far you have to go just celebrate that you're doing something about what you don't like. It takes 28days to form any new habit then you kind of forget to see this as a diet, more of a way of life with the bonus of getting slimmer. It works if you stick to it and if you blip just carry on as though you hadn't.

I'm hungry!!!!!! Lol in bed feeling a bit rough. Only had 1 pack and 2 litres of water. Couldn't sleep last night...no idea why but I'm trying to get an hour now and I'll have my packs when I get up. But down today and have had a cappuccino - that's really bad isn't it. :-(
 
I spent the first few days of the diet in bed! Best place for you whilst you get in ketosis :) what cappuccino was it? It's only bad if it's lots of carbs. I had a latte yest but was only 3G of carbs so it was ok :) x
 
I managed about half and hours sleep and I feel a bit better. Ive just had a chocolate pudding and a coconut shake. Both were ok and im now full-ish. My stomach feels a bit dodgy and I feel a bit sick. I know its just my body adjusting to things.
I will drink the rest of my fluids from now until about 9pm....got headache, shivers and generally just feel pants! lol I sound like a real moaner!!!

On the plus side, I went to my dog show today, usually I treat myself to a bacon sandwich and maybe a hotdog or something else delicious, its my time away from the kids to chill so food always factors in to making it a good day!! I was so good today and just had coffee and water...I had a cappuccino but not going to beat myself up about it...it was either that or a massive hot dog in a huge bready bun!!

Day 3 almost done and to be honest im really glad!!!! Roll on day 4.....
 
Hi, I started 1lb heavier than you at 17st 4lb. I'm not at the end of week 3 and the losses are really keeping me going. I am a serial weighed (daily most of the time) and I find it keeps me going, but I know it could easily go the other way, as long as I know I've done it 100%, I've nothing to worry about. I've got 3 children and this last few weeks it has really made me realise how many extra calorie's I'm eating when they waste their food . Try to set little targets to aim for. Stick with it good luck for weigh in day.

Good morning!!!!!

Woken up feeling a lot better than yesterday thank goodness!!! I have had a sneaky weigh on my scales......16st 11lbs!!!!!! after only 3 days!!!!!!!! Phew I needed that!! Was starting to feel like it was all getting too much.

Still headachy and hungry so I guess ketosis is still a couple of days away but I have the motivation to keep going.

So Day 4..have started with raspberry porridge which I made perfectly so it was actually the texture of porridge!!!!!! Whoop Whoop. Got a chill day at home today, gunna try and keep myself busy. might be on here a lot!!! lol
 
Boof that's amazing! In the 16s already! Be the 15s in no time as well :D well done beaut!!!! So exciting !

Keep an eye out for the weird tasting mouth and ketosis is there. My mouth always feels kinda cold it's weird haha xx

im desperately trying to hold off having my packs til later as I have to sit down with the family while they eat a roast dinner and then have dessert!!

I feel hungry and cant face any more fluids yet. drunk about 1 1/2 ltrs and 2 peppermint teas.

got a friends dog coming to be groomed in half an hour and that'll keep me busy until 3.30pm ish, then I might try and sleep til tea time. why does time feel like it is standing still!!!!!
 
I'm always trying to push eating until as late as possible too. Stay strong!! Have you tried boullion or bovril? X
 
I looked a boulion but wasn't sure what to buy. Do you stay in ketosis with it?

Just having my 2nd pack...well bar. Peanut butter - yum! Not nutty enough for me but filling a very large hole!

Hubby is cooking roast chicken, it smells good! I'm gunna have a hot pack at the table with them so I still feel included. Not looking forward to watching them eat though :-/
 
I've always stayed in ketosis with it, I have one or two a day :) just nice to have something warm and savoury. Enjoy smelling the chicken and imagining that's what you're eating ;) x
