    What do you all think?

So I'm on week three now and aam week seems to be fast approaching. I think I may be developing a sort of phobia about food if that makes sense?

The thought of eating scares me as I am so worried I will put weight straight back on and I'm starting to wonder how I'm going to cope when I get to goal.

So I thought rather than doing a full AAMW would it be ok if I AAM once a week for 3 weeks, then twice a week for three weeks etc so that by the time I get to goal I should be on at least 5 low calorie meals a week?

I just think as I put on weight so easily my body needs to gradually get used to food again. Also I'm scared that I may develop an unhealthy obsession with not wanting to eat!

Also I am pretty much a veggie, don't particulary want meat if I have a choice so would it be ok to eat a quorn fillet with salad and spring onions or quorn beef style pieces with some green veg? Sorry I can't find the list if foods were allowed!

    Thanks x

I'm veggie too so on WS I eat green veg, tofu and quorn or an egg sometimes. I understand what you're saying about the food thing, it is a scary prospect but you're thinking about it sensibly now which is good. Not everyone would agree, but what you're suggesting seems a good idea to me. I don't think some people have an AAM week, and some, like me, mix the programmes......... Exante is flexible and you know you're getting all the nutrients your body needs. I'm sure there's a sticky on here somewhere that tells you about what you can eat on AAM so that'd be a good starting place.......... maybe someone will put a link??

Thanks namaste, I know that exante is perfectly fine to do for 16 weeks is it without food? And I know I probably could do that, it's just I would dread coming off it and eating again and by then my fear of it would be ten times worse then now. Think I may wait until week 5 and then proceed with aam one night a week etc x

I felt the same way before I did my AAMW too. I just made really healthy choices. As long as your meals are <400kcals, you should be fine. Also stay away from high carbs. I'm veggie too and would have salad with a quorn steak, or make a salad stir fry with the quorn chicken pieces. I actually enjoyed my AAMW after all the worrying beforehand! I think it's a great way of teaching yourself about healthy eating and portion control. However, it is up to you.

I find AAM actually kick starts my weight loss sometimes as your metabolism can get sluggish if you go weeks without food. I have often had bigger losses on AAM week (don't pay any attention to my current losses below as I'm not really following a strict plan and messing around a fair bit). My advice would be that at the end of that day you are going to eat again at some point and now is a good a time as any other to learn about healthy portions etc. There shouldn't be an issue so long as low carb and Quorn is fine, or fish if you are a pescatarian. If you think you are going to get obsessed with not eating you really should do it in my opinion. The first time I did VLCD I got really obsessive and that's not good for anyone...xx

    Mini goals
*Lose 5lbs and get to 10 STONE.

*Lose another 5lbs and get to 9 STONE 9LBS.

*Get to 9 stone 7lbs for the wedding 17/11/12 - got to 9 stone 8lbs. Can live with this!

*Lose another 5lbs and get to target 9 STONE 4LBS.

I still lost a 1lb on my AAMW, however it was my TOTM that week too. I find my TOTM affects my weight loss. My first week I only lost 3lbs for that reason too. As you can see from my overall loss it has all evened out though.
