would it be ok to add a high fat meal once a week while doin g the total solutions instead of going 4 or 12 weeks without food then doing that for a week? also surely this would help metabolism too?

I wouldn't go for a high fat meal personally ... if I was going to have a meal I'd choose one high in protein like lean chicken or fish and some steamed veg from the 'keto friendly' list in the sticky thread

thankyou so much for this post!!! i emailed exante asking if doing total with 1 day on working a week and they just came back and basically said no - you saying mix and match is really helpful as i would hate my little man to loose his treat out after horseriding each week. Its only gonna be a chicken salad with no dressing anywhoo so low carb as i've come from doing atkins and know what to avoid now. I wasnt going to even bther trying it after their email back to me but this post has really put me in a positive frame of mind about doing this. thankyou

Red face Ex-CDer adding her opinion...

Just thought I'd chuck my opinion in.

I did CD, and lost 7st on it but gained it all back. When I last did Exante, I lost 4.5st and also gained it back. Both times it was my fault as I didn't work back up the plans.

Anyway, here's how Exante compares to CD in my opinion:

    -Exante is cheaper
-My losses were bigger on Exante: 4st in 13 weeks, compared to 3.5st on CD
-CD tastes nicer, but Exante shakes are still nice
-Exante is higher in calories which is good for busy people
-No counsellor with Exante so you have to be super-disciplined

I actually prefer Exante now because of the price and the fact that I lose better on it.

Hope this helps a bit xx
