No you cant get the porridge in the 4 week bumper pack yet....I keep bugging them to sort it out coz shakes bars and porridge bumper pack would be heaven!

I just get shakes and bars for now.
Cant afford another £60 for 50 porridge though.

    Re-start here we come. 18/3/2012

Probably best to start with the pack and see how I go from there.

If it gets boring at least there are options for variety ?

    Thanks again x

Best of luck to you, I am a CD convert too. I think I found the same thing really, my counsellor was only interested when I parted with cash and not the rest of the time, certainly not enough to warrant parting with said cash!!

Apart from the bars, I do like everything, although I am yet to try the porridge.

Just finished my fourth week and managed to shed 20lbs so not bad going!!

Hi, I'm also an ex-CD (and LL) person.

I actually loved CD shakes and the chocolate tetra was fab but it certainly did add up moneywise!

I have bought the porridge and initially thought it was hideous but I copied Determinators advice and added a sweetener and some nutmeg (didn't have cinnamon) and it did taste very like rice pudding and is now my saviour as I can't stomach the soups.
I'm also a huge fan of the Tesco ultraslim chocolate crisp bar and have one everyday with a coke zero (feels like a real treat!).

Go for it and enjoy being a loser again!!

Hello!! You're basically me . Having lost 4 stone on CD in 2006 (12.5 to 8.5 stone) I found it creeping back on and by 2010 when I plucked up the courage to weigh finally, I'd got back to 11 stone 4. Having done the research I decided Exante was by far the cheapest and better option and the lack of counsellor is fine SO LONG AS you have the discipline to WI at home once a week or whatever (mine is sometimes lacking!!). The shakes are fine and the weight losses are the same. I didn't like soup or porridge either but have been assured that the Exante porridge is OK (still scared of it though and stick to choc shake and choc-orange. No choc-mint on Exante though, boo-hoo).

I understand why your husband doesn't want you to go back on VLCD though - I get the same. With the risk of sounding like a complete hypocrite (I am currently on my fourth VLCD I think!!), weight does have a habit of creeping back on and you need a really robust approach to keeping the weight off afterwards which I don't think this diet always teaches very well. If you have your brochure from your CD days that has a really good re-feed plan which Exante does really lack. Good luck xx

I'd definitely recommend the porridge done the 'determinator' way....
200 mls of boiled water and mash/mix thoroughly. Add one sweetener and some nutmeg (cinnamon too if you like it) and then microwave for 30secs, stir and then a further 30secs. It tastes much more like rice pudding than porridge but is warm and comforting!

Yes, 3 sachets a day. I tend to do a shake, a bar (Tesco ultraslim) and a porridge.

I've heard that you can make a choc shake with a peppermint teabag and water to create your very own chocmint! I've yet to try it but will save it for another time when I'm really bored if the current flavours.

I'm very lucky as my hubby is doing it with me as his weight has started creeping up. I think he's more motivated than me although for how long I don't know!

    Hi

I wish my hubby would do it with me, he has a lot to shift that's been creeping on over the last few years, but I have hinted and it's got me nowhere so far ?!!

I have ordered my box now and will see how we go, maybe that will motivate him more!! What are the calories in the shakes are they similar to CD?

Also it's great you can use Tesco bars as they are on offer sometimes!!

    Thanks for the feedback!

Let's see how I get in this time xx
