Carbs in exante

Hi guys just wondered if anyone could help me figure this out, I looked on ingredients in the sachets and there is quite a lot of carbs and sugar per sachet, was wondering how this keeps you in ketosis? Or is it the low calorie effect of the diet that gets you on ketosis. Sorry if this doesn't make sense but I'm new and just trying to work out carbs/ketosis thing. Thanks x

It's a tricky 1 cos when i first heard of exante it got delivered and i looked at the content and sacked it off due to the carb content then i saw on a review site it compared with cambridge which i did 4 years ago and lost loads and its only got maybe 1/2g more than cambridge i seem to remember so in all i think its a bit of both sorry couldnt be more scientific for u

You need some carbs! The diet is low carbohydrate not no carbohydrate. The quantities of all ingredients in Exante products are balanced to give you the minimum you need to stay well. VLCD diets like this work because you actually consume less calories. Ketosis is a state where fat is burnt for every day energy needs , like breathing, walking, digesting etc. Ketosis means an elevated level of ketone bodies in the blood - a wonderful side effect of this is often you feel less hungry and thus eat less so making sticking to three packets easier than calorie counting etc.
Ketosis is a different metabolic state where you burn your fat for fuel. That's it really
