Do you mean that you want to eat something to get yourself out of ketosis so you can drink safely or do you mean you'll be eating at the night out and want to stay in ketosis?

If you want to stay in ketosis and eat then good foods to chose are meats, shellfish, fish, cheese (to some extent), salads and low carb veggies. Fat won't knock you out of ketosis but you may want to keep an eye on it so you don't consume too many calories. Things to avoid are potatoes (and chips), bread, starchy veg, and keep an eye on sauces and salad dressings to make sure there aren't any sugars or thickeners used that'll knock you out of ketosis.

If you have an idea about what you're likely to choose or can get a hold of the menu in advance then you can do a bit of googling to see how those meals are usually cooked in restaurants and whether they have lowish carbs.

    But...

If you want to drink and need to get out of ketosis then pretty much any carby meal will do that. A sandwich, chips, pizza, etc will all knock you out but you'll want to do it the morning of the night out at least to make sure you're in a good position to drink.

    I don't need a diet....

    I need a new lifestyle...
