    Cant get back on it!!

Hi guys, however hard I try I'm finding it beyond hard to get back on the shakes. Done really well last year and got down to 15 stone but have fell off the wagon bug time and I am now just under 18 stone!!! I just can't get into the right frame of mind. Can anyone give me some tips how I can mentally and physically prepare myself to start again and not fail - feel like crying at he moment

    Hello there

    Been there, done that!

I lost a lot of weight on Exante last year, then a very difficult personal circumstance pushed me back to the dreaded comfort eating and I put back all the weight I had lost

I restarted TS on 1st March and am doing well.

Difficult to explain how I got motivated to get back on the wagon. I knew I couldn't go on as I was - fat, miserable, and worried about all the horrible health risks. I suppose I just gave myself a 'good talking to' ultimately.

Losing weight is hard, no one can possibly doubt that. Food is not just about your stomach, heads and hearts are hugely involved too. Eating is a big part of socialising in addition. Food everywhere you go in fact!

Weight loss is something you have to want for yourself, and only you can achieve it. Others can support, but in the end it comes down to you.

I don't have any magic answers, but just know that you are not alone in the battle!

Take care, and all the best

I think that this kind of diet isnt for everyone at everytime. I did LL successfully about 6 or 7 years ago but then I tried it again a couple of years ago and just couldn't do it, going back to complete abstinance was almost impossible for me. It may be that you need to do something food-based for a little while til you've got your head in the right place and then you can try this again? Maybe WW or SW or even one of the diets that have meals supplied, but at least you feel like you're eating something. Or you can try simple calorie counting, I did that quite successfully for months til I got bored of working out every mouthful I was eating. But it can and does work if you stick to it.

I have been successful on this type of diet a few times (both Cambridge and Exante) and I have started again today for THE VERY LAST TIME !!!

It's taken me ages to get back into it, it's so hard to just get in the zone and actually MEAN it. Hopefully the £108 I have just forked out for my month's supply will make me want to drink my packs. The summer is coming and I am sick of wrapping myself up in a big cardi. I've got a wardrobe full of dresses I bought last summer is sizes 12 and 14 and keep looking at them - wishing. Well, no more. I will be in them soon

For me I just got to a point where I thought NO MORE! I got fed up of feeling "fat" Thinking of all the things that could happen if I don't do something for myself. Bottom line I want my 4 children to have not only a healthy mummy but a happy one too.

I'm only on day 2 but I have done VLCD in the past n been successful. I'm applying that knowledge from back then and also reading others tips and advice. Distraction for me works well. My youngest who is 14 weeks keeps me busy as I have to go to so many hospital appts at the mo (bless him)
