What do you think of the bars?

Hi, I am wondering whether most people on Exante enjoy the bars or not - I have done Exante previously but last time I used the Tesco bars until I got sick of them and then just lived on the chocolate shakes. This time I want to take bars to work for convenience but I really cant face the Tesco ultra-slim bars again. I am not sure whether to risk buying the mixed bumper pack of Exante with the bars or whether to just go with the shakes (soup is not an option!) and would be grateful for any feedback.

Thanks

The Choc orange bars are delicious and I would be happy eating one of these a day forever! I actually ordered a box of 50 and combined it with a bumper shakes pack. The toffee and nut quite literally tastes like cardboard!

I haven't tried the nut one as I'm allergic to walnuts but I dont mind the chocolate and orange one. It's not omg amazing, but it's not horrible either. I break it into little bits and eat it like that, it goes further that way.

I hate the bars :(
So I have the Tesco ultraslim ones, I'd rather have those than the exante ones.

I am the same as Jael001 - I also have a nut allergy so can only have the choc orange ones but I really dont mind them. At first I struggled with them but now I have a can of coke zero to wash it down and it makes a nice change from the shakes

I detest the bars and had to throw a load away. They are like eating cardboard. Now ... the raspberry Tesco ones are another story :)

I think I will get 50 packs of chocolate shake and 1 of each bar to try. Will just have to manage at work with people knowing what I am doing (would rather keep it quiet to start with). If I like the bars I can add them into the next order, I just cant afford to throw them away if I dont like them! Our Tesco only sells the chocolate ultra-slim, I have been in loads of other tescos when out for the day but have never managed to find any raspberry flavour sadly.

Thanks to everyone for their response.
x

I don't like the orange ones. Can stomach them though, wouldn't thank u for it. Nut n raisin I quite enjoy. I love and adore the tesco ones. Isn't it funny how we are all different x

I like them both :) Must admit when I first tasted them they did take a little adjusting to, but now I get on great with them. Choc orange is my favourite - probably because of the chocolate! lol. I like to pick the choc chips out and save them until the end and then let each one melt slowly in my mouth mmmmmm :D

I have only been on the plan for few days but I brought the bars n shakes combo. And I have to say I love the bars both of them. The fat raisins in the chewy nut one are yum and like others the chocolate chips in the choc orange bar make you feel like you are being naughty I tried the tesco bars and hate both flavours I guess it's all personal preference. Why don't u buy one of each bar and try before you commit to buying 50 or so. Good luck everyone xxxx

The first time I tried the toffee nut bar I could barely finish it, now it's some happy solid joy.. nom nom - choc orange is still my favourite, but I alternate them

Thanks for everyones input: I bit the bullet and ordered yesterday - 50 choc shakes and one of each bar to try. I will try and leave them a few days before trying to give my taste buds time to adjust a bit! Wont be starting until 11th though as going to my parents in Wales for a few days at the weekend - 5 hours or so in the car each way with uncertain toilet locations :) so thought I would wait until I was back and had 4 days off before going back to work - also to avoid having mum stressing and fretting that I am harming my health by doing this diet! I really did want to start immediately but it seems more sensible to wait for a few days and ease in gently!

I also like both types of bar and prefer to save them until the evening to have as my main meal (where my daytime schedule allows).

i have mine in evening also with a cuppa :) x

I love the bars! Would eat them when not on a diet if they were cheaper. :)

tbh i liked the bars the first few days and now I find them such a chore to eat... but each to their own but I have a whole drawer full of them so I suppose really I have to eat the damn things! they are good for work I suppose I find im breaking them up and im defo not hungry

I wish I lived closer jess, I'd be round to your house and I'd raid your drawer. hehe.

Just having a different texture is what I like. The orange ones are best, the others are a bit like sawdust
