Good luck! I started last week, and weighing in tomorrow.

I found the first week an absolute breeze, although I know there will be challenges ahead.

I have 6 stone to lose and I need to get fit too.

I plan on being on Exante for at least 6 months, so I will be hanging round here lots x

Hello Chunky, glad your first week was a breeze and good luck with your weigh in tomorrow.
Feeling OK at the moment and already starting to think - why did I let myself get so fat, if only I had eaten less, took more exercise blah blah blah. They are easy questions, but obviously the answers are a lot harder.
 
Hi glad it's all going well for you so far, stick with it and to it and you'll soon lose weight. If you do get a bad head in the first few days, don't suffer with it, just take a painkiller.
 
Thanks Katie. Good advice gratefully received. Feeling OK but had a bit of a disaster :mad: with the Pasta Carbonara pack - too much water I think so very runny with lost bits of little spaghetti lurking in the bottom. Any tips how to make it better?
 
It's a bit of a skill, I leave it soaking in hot water in the bowl for about 10 mins with a plate on top, then microwave it for 2 mins about 3 times, stirring every minute or so - the sauce then goes quite thick and the past swells up --- hope it's better for you next time :)

ooh and add black pepper to serve lol x
 
Thanks - will try again another day, the long soak in water sounds like a good plan.
 
Day 3 begins. All OK - but I have never wee'd so much. It's becoming frustrating keep going to the loo. Will have to plan trips around where there is a loo!
 
Day 5 and all good so far. Thanks Darcy, I'm sure I'll get used to the loo-going. I will see it as a positive thing.
 
Yep all that walking to and from the loo adds to your exercise :)

I'm new to exante ,first day today doing good so far but dying for a packet of crisp but going to stick to it no matter what
i did cd last year but culdnt stick to it more than 7 weeks . Well done to every one who have lost. Good luck
 
Welome Confused and god luck. Stick at it and you will soon not feel hungry! Day 7 for me and going OK.
 
Welcome GemsGem and good luck. I'm now on Day 8 and it is going well so far. I'm really pleased to have lost 11.5 pounds in my first week. Woohoo.
My tips are to stay focused and just take it day by day. The first few days are the worst and then after that you don't really feel hungry - just an empty of food feeling sometimes. Keep your eye on the prize - a week one weight loss, the next half stone, the next stone. It also helps me not to think of the packs as "food", but as a mix of nutrients which I just have to eat to keep me healthy. That way I don't compare them with real food. I find all the flavours OK an eat my shakes hot - made with water from the kettle and whisked up. It's good to have a warm drink for me. Hope that helps - I'm only a week in!

I've been good today although opted for a little milk in my tea.
I like the idea if seeing the packs as nutrients opposed to food. x
 
Yes GemsGem I'm really pleased with the first week weight loss - it has motivated me to stay on track in Week 2. It helps just taking it little by little rather than thinking long term. Let each day on this be a mini milestone. Well done on sticking with it.
