Trying to decide if to re-start. I have the packs bought them in February at the time I think I had 2, the toffee caramel shake (yum) and the shepherds pie (which was gross). The weight gain hasn't been fast and or furious but it's been gradual. Probably about 9lbs too scared to weigh. But it's creeping on. In jan it was 5-6lbs. Maintaining is hard work:(..shd I just try harder at maintaining? (a battle I am loosing) or go straight for it?..(doing working soln) any thoughts r welcome and thanks in advance

So bit the bullet weighed....now 11st 12. Too close to 12stone for comfort so just had a bar with some tea for breakfast. Here's to hoping I last longer than I did a couple of months ago. Everything is crossed...

You can do it! Maintaining is the hardest thing

Well done for deciding to give it a go and nipping the weight gain in the bud - hope all's going well!

Hey

you can reign it back in easy and then work on maintenance (which is the hardest bit) but use the time it takes to get there planning so you are armed and ready lol x

Hello all, so that post last month was the start of a false start...I lasted half a day. Then 2 days ago I managed to get over the dreaded 12 stone mark so I defo had to restart. On day 3 now, doing working soln. Yesterday was hard, despite being at work for most of the day. Had to reach for my boullion, which says a lot cos I don't like the stuff hehe. Will take each day as it comes. I have set myself a daily reminder to recall my starting weight in an attempt try to stick it out for at least 2 weeks. Will c what happens when I get to that point. Got on the scales today and 3lbs has gone after 2 days. Hopefully it will stay off... Thanks for the nice comments all and I hope all ur journeys r going wellXx

It all gets easier after day 3, you'll soon be feeling better and brighter x

I really truly hope so Katie, today has been the worst day yet. Day off work today so maybe that's why. I am starving:( hardest thing I have had to do for a long time. I hope I stick this out....

You can stick it out - I think it works better at the beginning if you find things to keep you distracted --- I find that drooling over smaller clothes online and doing online jigsaws helped me x

So today has not been a good day and it's only half 1,

i obviously don't understand the laws of physics hence me having thermal burns after my hot banana shake exploded on me this morning after fancying a change and reading somewhere that it tastes like custard. Needless to say I got no custard:(.

Had to settle for a cold vanilla shake. My mouth is dry. I feel cold and I feel hungry. Giving up seems like he best thing to do currently. I am not at home at the moment. Will go back weigh tmrw and decide which way is forward. Don't seem to have the mental know how this time round....

And Katie, I meant to say the online jigsaws have been really fun. Thanks for the suggestion...may do one now so that I have less rime to feel sorry for myself...:S

I may be too late but don't just give up, even if you add a low carb meal to the day or an extra pack - it does get easier xx

Hey Katie, thanks for the support. I think for now I need some proper food, so the plan is to have some rice tonight. I have had my exante meals in the day and will be looking at 1200 cals today. I think maybe calorie counting using exante may work better for me. For now I am happy with that. Will see how I feel tmrw. Thanks again. Very much appreciated

Hope you feel better after having something.

Right so new day, feeling better. Despite blip yesterday I managed to shift 5lbs in 1st week. I'm happy with that. Gna give it another go...gotta keep trying till I hopefully get to goal. Defo killed ketosis yesterday..but was worth it for my mental health. Let's c what happens...

I had banana shake for breakfast, had it hot, it was not very nice.
Think will stick to cold with ice, made an interesting change though:)

Stick with it Determination, it really is worth it. I have days where I just can't seem to get my head around it and eat stuff I know I shouldn't because cravings are too strong and willpower is too weak. But the key is not to throw in the towel but to get straight back on to it. On previous diets I would thought 'oh well I've blown it now' and just made matters worse.

My advice would be that if you do have 'proper' food try and keep carb free or very low carb to keep in ketosis or you'll be forever going through those difficult first few days with hunger, tiredness and headaches. Even if you just have a mega salad with chicken and ham, it could kill the cravings but keep you in ketosis.

Just get through one day at a time and remember, it's not forever.

X

Hi Sparkley (cool name btw) thanks for the advice. Better day In all today so I'm happy. Taking it easy and listening to my body. I had what I needed yesterday and back to my working solution today. Managed my 3 meal packs and some salmon with salad which I thoroughly enjoyed :). Hopefully shd get to target soon...hope ur journey is going ok...:)
