Simple Solutions Fluoride in Exante

I had been using Exante for some time but I am concerned about the inclusion of fluoride in the list of minerals.
Fluoride is actually poisonous. Although it is included in most toothpastes it says on the packet that if you swallow some you must consult a doctor. Most of Europe does not add fluoride to its water supply, although most of America does. It is an industrial waste product, and most of it is imported from China.

It is not a required mineral. I have checked the ingredients of several other VLC diets and none of them include fluoride. I have written to Exante on 3 occasions, and they have refused to discuss it any further with me. They say it is an EEC directive (European Union) but I could not find a direct statement.

I would be interested to know if anyone else is concerned about this.

Not really. I'm pretty sure that if people were dropping down from using the products the press would be all over it, not good publicity. Plus why would they risk popping off their customer base.

I'm also pretty sure toothpaste says supervise brushing for little ones to minimise swallowing, not sure I've seen the bit about consulting a dr should you swallow a bit.

As you say, America adds it to the water...

You're not scaremongering by any chance?

Give them a call if you're that concerned, or swap to another as there's plenty out there, but as I say, I really can't see it being harmful in the quantities used.

South staffs water has been adding it to their water supply for the last 40 years haven't heard of any adverse effects
